Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceThere was a faint smell in the shower, perhaps from the humidity, not strong but not pleasant either. The organised activities were very expensive
The camp is only 10 km from the main road, so it's easier to get to than other ones that are much deeper into the desert. Having said that, we are glad we paid the camp driver to come and take us from the nearby petrol station, we would not have found it by ourselves. We managed to return without a guide, following the instructions they gave us. We rented the sultan's tent, which was spacious and had a private bathroom with a shower, a fridge and a kettle. The camp itself was simple but nice, and the buffet breakfast and dinner were pretty decent, with many vegetarian options for us. The live music during (part of) dinner was a nice touch, with local musicians and instruments. They also had set up a screen to watch movies, which we quite enjoyed as well.

PolandA night in the desert is an experience you won't forget. Delicious breakfast and dinner included. Direct entry to the desert where you can watch the sunrise, sunset or stars at night from above. Super people, atmosphere, music, cinema. If you wonder if it's worth it – it is for 200%.

OmanThe activities could be better organised. We wanted to do camel riding, then we were told sure, then later we were told come the next morning. The next morning, we were told it wasn't possible.
What an AMAZING place! From the decor, to the outdoor cinema, every aspect of this hotel surpassed our expectations! Every feature has been thoroughly planned and beautifully positioned.

SwitzerlandThe sultan tent might have not been the best choise - while it was quiet and spacious, it was also away from the main location (reception, parking, cinema). It was also very dark inside, the lamps gave very little light. The bathroom smelled like canalization. You do not notice it after a minute or so (as nose gets used to it), but it was very strong as you enter.
It is super easy to reach with a 4x4 or AWD vehichle, just 14km out from the main road. The area is nice and quiet, with a big dune to climb right next to the camp. The breakfast and dinner was great, very tasty and plenty, also cute to have a popcorn while watching the outdoor cinema. The sultan tent was nice and spacious.

United StatesIt was not clear on the booking site that the transportation offered was only from the local gas station to the resort. It was challenging to find any sort of affordable transportation to and from Muscat. I wish this had been clearer when I booked.

United KingdomWe came to this place looking forward to spend the night with the cinema but they play the movie at the same time the dinner start therefore you will miss it. We didn’t find it made completely sense since all the guests were having dinner.
The location and atmosphere was great! We loved the food (loved to try the camel meat) and the cinema with the pop corn. It was a very lovely day.

United Arab EmiratesBuffet food was average and the reception staff didn’t communicate well. It led to a misunderstanding about signing up for the camel ride so we missed our chance to do this activity.

NorwayThe price of the activities and pick-up are close to being disrespectful. The houses are very close to each other. There is a lot of noise from the ATV's outside the camp. There is so much light from the camp that you won't see the stars. The beds are so short that your feet will be hanging outside the bed if you're a average European. This isn't the best place to go if you expect 100% relaxation, but you will for sure have a comfortable stay in the desert - and especially for those having children. It is a very good camp and a good place to breath in some arabic heritage.
The food was good. The location is great. For families, this is the perfect place. They played live arabic music during the dinner. The houses has a very cool design and layout.

FranceSharing the bungalow with a small bedroom on the side. There is almost no privacy as you can hear the neighbors whispering. This came as a surprise to them as well.
Great service, very helpful. I forgot something at the camp and they managed to transfer it to their office in Muscat at no charge. Thanks again.

United KingdomRoom facilities are a bit basic but it's in the middle of the desert so it's to be expected.
Amazing location in a valley (wadi) right next to the dunes. Really off the beaten track. I had a little trouble getting up the first hill in my 4WD but let down your tyres to half pressure and take it at a reasonable speed. About 60 seconds of deflation should do it. Driving up the road to get there on the sand is an experience in itself.

CroatiaThe place is easily reachable if you have a 4x4. There is one main road which leads you directly to the camp. Dinner and breakfadt were perfect with a lot of choices. And there was an open cinema where we watched Lion King, which was perfect for the desert ambients. There is also a huge dune right next to the camp where you can climb and enjoy the desert. We didn't take any of the additional activities as they were a bit overpriced but we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in Sultans tent which looks amazing . During the day it's hot inside but you have the A/C which was working for cooling the place but either the battery on the remote were dead, or the remote wasn't working, you couldn't change any settings and it gets pretty cold at night, so we couldn't warm the place. Additionally, the bed is big, but it's sooo hard and firm that you have a feeling you sleep on a wooden board. Other than that, I would definitely experience staying here again.
