Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceA warm welcome from the staff. Very good dinner and breakfast with specialties. Middle of nowhere, if you are looking for a change of scene, it is the place to be. A 4x4 is necessary but no need to be an expert driver.

LithuaniaIt was a very fun experience in the desert, despite the fact that the sandstorm started. The tent is spacious, tidy, the bedding is clean. The hosts are wonderful, agreed, told about the desert. They were very nice and friendly. Dinner and breakfast were very nice. we made a bonfire in the evening. I recommend it. Getting to the tents is not difficult.

NetherlandsEverything was great.
We had the best time at this camp. The owners are super friendly and speak English very well. The food was absolutely delicious and more than enough. At night they make a campfire. There's many things you can do from this camp, like sandbashing, camel rides etc. They also offer a 4x4 transfer to get to the camp if you're driving a normal car. Would absolutely recommend! Oh and the tent is comfy, theres electricity and running water.

AustriaA very varied dinner was prepared especially for us! There was a very large selection of regional dishes, vegetables and also fries for our three-year-old daughter! We were the only guests that night and the entire menu was still prepared for us. The breakfast was also very varied and we were served fresh omelettes.

ItalyAbsolutely nothing.
Give yourself a gift and the most amazing experience of your life by staying at Sands Dream Tourism Camp. I can’t stress how wonderful everything was. Upon arrival, the exceptional driver Mohamed came to pick us up and drove us to the camp. Our triple room was so cozy we couldn’t believe our eyes. The temperature during the night was also perfect: while outside there were 10 degrees Celsius, inside we slept with short sleeves! The tents release all the warmth accumulated throughout the day during the night, so don’t be scared you will be cold: you won’t at all. The bathroom was also equipped with everything needed and even had a shower. The dune tour at sunset was unforgettable. Mohamed is truly exceptional. We had time to climb, run, take pics and enjoy the marvellous surroundings of the Wahiba desert. The best part is yet to come: dinner was one of the best ones I have had in my entire life. The quality of the food was insane, the taste was authentic, the quantity was enough to feed at least 5 people. We were lucky enough to have the whole dining tent to ourselves. A truly magical experience. Trust me, I would have paid the entire price of the stay just for dinner. This is how much it is worth. The following morning my boyfriend and I climbed the dunes ourselves to see the sunrise. Even though the climb was harder than expected, the view was worth it all. Moreover, every single staff member is among the kindest people I have ever met and they will surely accommodate every request of yours. Breakfast, again, went beyond expectations. The most magical experience of my life.

This stay was one of the highlights of our holiday. This camp is great for those who want to be close to nature. It is more basic than the other camps around, so the feeling of staying in the desert is probably more authentic than in other camps that have trees and more facilities. The staff was lovely, food delicious and we loved our sunset camel ride. The commun areas was great to hang out with our family. The drive to get there with a 4×4 is very enjoyable and not difficult.

RomaniaPricey comparing to other similar camps in other countries, like Jordan. The transport is also too expensive, if you don't have a 4x4 (4wd car). The bathroom also didn't look very well, in Wadi Rum they have the bathrooms inside the tent and the conditions don't compare, even it's desert.
Beautiful location, quite far from other camps, the facilities were as I expected. Very nice experience, the food was great

SingaporeClear fast communication. Friendly hospitable staff. Spacious clean tent with comfortable beds, clean bedding & towels. Delicious buffet dinner & breakfast with sufficient variety & quantity. Shuttle service included an awesome excursion for sand dune bashing & to watch sunset. If you are looking for 5 star hotel amenities (WiFi, hot water for shower), then this authentic back to nature desert experience is not for you. Slovakia- we had similar experience in morocco desert with Berbers and that one felt more "authentic" . But there was nothing really to complain about in this camp except maybe quite pricey activities they offer.
- Best access to dunes from camps in area, you need only 15-20 minutes on foot to reach highest dune - Great food for being in middle of desert - easy to reach if you have 4x4 . Basically any 4wd will do , it is approx. 30 minutes drive from village, We had dacia duster and had no problems. Most of the road is hard gravel road with occasional patches of sand. Only more difficult part is final small dune before the camp ( ~ 250 m from camp ) . But i am sure that somebody from camp would help you if you had problems at this point. - there is a petrol station on main road some 500 m behind intersection with camp gravel road where you can deflate your tires.

AustriaAccommodation was great and authentic. Tents are very big and have electricity. Food was very delicious and the whole team was extremely friendly. On the second day we were the only guests there and they served a big breakfast and dinner just for the two of us. The view was amazing as well. In the evening the team makes fire and you can watch the sky full of stars. We stayed in December and we saw a lot of shooting stars. We booked the transfer to the dessert for 30 OMR, but there was also dune bashing and sunset tour included. I can highly recommend this tour! If you are looking for a luxury hotel in the dessert, you are wrong here. If you are looking for an authentic desert experience, book this camp! Best experience in Oman for us!

Our tent was the cleanest place we’ve stayed in our entire Oman trip! The staff were really friendly and happy to help with anything. The communal area is super comfortable and the food is delicious - both breakfast and dinner! We stayed for two nights and the staff made sure we had some snacks for the hours in between breakfast and dinner too. Plus there is free tea and coffee, dates and little hazelnut chocolates which were yummy. It’s an authentic Bedouin experience well worth it.

Staying in the Sands Dream Tourist Camp was a very unique experience. Comparing to other desert camps it is located further into the desert, which gives you feeling of peace and quietness. In addition to that the food delivered was very good, which I would not expect in the middle of a desert. Very friendly and hospitable staff.

SlovakiaEverything was ok.
Everything was amazing, just remove your shoes and enjoy walking in the sand. Perfect place for watching sunset from sand dunes nearby. Bathroom is outside the tent, water was almost boiling during the day time, but after sunset got colder which make sense since u are in the desert. Love the common area with oriental carpet and pillows. Food was really nice. Staff was all the time smiling and helpful. Camp offer transfer and a lot of activities.

SwedenWe would have appreciated more cold water (was quite warm) and some other soft drinks. I would suggest to have some board game or similar for the guest to play during the waiting time! But apart that we liked everything.
The staff is really friendly and everything is very quite and calm. We stayed two nights and I really enjoyed sleeping in the nice tent and looking and the star at night. The food was very good and they made different stuff for us who stayed more nights and helped us with vegetarian options. For those who said there are mice.. It is nature! We are in their home and you should appreciate them. There are desert mice, a very clean and intelligent animal. I appreciate the staff protects them. So please continue to respect wildlife! It seems to me that the camels are also well treated. We went to visit a beduin house, it was a beautiful experience and they welcomed us in their home with delicious sweet food.

Tents are for four persons whit enought space for backpacks or suitcases. Bathroom is outside but with all facilities (be careful when you open water sink...at the begining it is boling). Camp offer a lot of things: camel drive, dune bashing, etc. Even a transport if you doesn't rent a 4WD.
