How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It badly needs cleaning and renovation.
The hotel would’ve been great some years ago. The staff is amazing.

housekeeping needs to be improved. Traces of dust everywhere. The toilets were not cleaned well. Old hair and empty bottles were found in the room. Housekeeping does not collect the old towels on the floor unless asked for it. Not of Sheraton standards. Handling the crowd was not in the best manner, although the staff was trying hard. Slow wifi and the response to room requests was also slow.
The hotel was located in the town's old quarters and walkable to some of the old markets. Ample parking space available. The food quality was good. The staff were friendly. Though the property looked a bit old, infrastructure maintenance was done efficiently. Nice pool, indoor and outdoor. 2 Jacuzzis. Steam and sauna are perfectly maintained. Large room size and overall the facility is quite spacious.

The pillows were too big or too soft, but that is very individual. The area where the hotel is located, is nothing special to walk around or explore, but there are good sights in a short drive distance.
A great stay - we spent just 1 night there, but was very good. The room was very spacious and comfy. The breakfast was very tasty and plenty. The pool facilities were nice, good private parking area.

The dinner was included in our room and everything was free, but just to drink a cup of espresso, I was immediately charged for it, and I felt it was a trap and it was not a pleasant feeling.

The hotel should have informed us that there was a party going on. and that the dinner buffet was shortened becuase of the party

The alcoholic beverages were expensive. And they ran out of Pinot Grigio. Plus the cocktail lounge that they had advertised everywhere was not open. The pool was shut for a deep clean for a day due to a colour party the evening we arrived.
Lovely friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was good.

Nice sized rooms but a little dated shower above the bath not a walk in shower. Breakfast was excellent lots of choices however at £16 per person price was a little steep Restaurant menus where fine and fairly priced Outside pool was lovely Inside pool ok good gym facilities Checking in staff and restaurant staff where very friendly however they did keep asking my daughters friend his room number assuming that because his skin was a different colour he was not part of our group. Check out was not a simple process and took over half an hour as their system said we owed another £100 eventuality admitted there was a fault in their system after trying to say it was the fault of the staff member who checked us in who had not charged us enough. I felt the member of staff checking us out was actually quite rude no apology offered for their mistake and left us with a disappointing experience to end our stay

The staff were truly amazing and made our stay just perfect. I would like to mention in particular Hany Ali the Restaurant Manager, Chef Krishnan and Sabrina in The Courtyard Restaurant and not least Jessen from Housekeeping. All these staff went above and beyond to make us feel so welcome and special every day! If I could give them 20 out of 10 I would!
