Excellent breakfast. Service was always excellent from the always smiling staff. Comfortable bed. Plenty of HOT water in the bathroom. Great location for bars and restaurants, but not noisy.

Standard room was rather small. No TV in the room. Mirrors were placed so high that they were virtually useless for a short guest. (My wife had to climb a set of stairs to use the mirror on a landing to check her appearance before heading out.) Only 1 chair in the room. Bathroom was tiny, with no hooks for hanging towels or garments.

Location was outstanding. Staff was warm, welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was outstanding. Decor was lovely.

Not all cushions laid out on fooftop terrace, but that's really minor. Also an issue with tour operator they work with but not their fault and they sorted it out for us.

Gorgeous decor in common areas; comfortable, nicely appointed rooms with lovely design & a very nice comfortable bed; excellent food & drinks at hotel restaurant and very kind, attentive staff.

Really lovely staff, we stayed at this hotel on our honeymoon and stayed in a suite. The room was beautiful and clean. great location Staff such as jorge and luis made our stay really special and were very polite and attentive! We would definitely stay here again

The property is so quaint and elegant. The furnishings are beautiful decorated. When you come off the busy little streets of casco viejo it’s like walking into a little oasis of serenity.

The breakfast is a set menu, and the options are great. However, on our last day, half of the menu was not available - which was a huge shame. The kitchen tried to accommodate by making something different from the available options (as we didn't like any) which was kind but it wasn't as good as it normally is.

We love boutique hotels and this hotel is exactly what we always look for - great attention to detail, wonderful staff and food. If we end up going back to Panama City, we would stay in this hotel again.

My sister and myself had a fabulous time in Casco Viejo district and we loved everything about Amarla Botique. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly and helpful staff who were more than willing to let us know about restaurants recommendations, activities, help arrange taxis and helped us plan our day. BIG thank you to Jorge and Augusto for being awesome host, and Doyle, Jenny, and Luis the waitstaff where the service was impeccable. The breakfast was amazing and included, but you need to have dinner there as well as it was one of our best meals in Panama City. The location is perfect and the vibe/style of the hotel is chic. The rooftop area was also great to view Panama City with a night cap. Thank you Amarla Staff for an exceptional stay, will stay here whenever we come back to Panama City. Cartagena Columbia is on my travel list and Amarla Boutique has a hotel there which I will book given how amazing our stay was here. Thank you!

The people of Amarla Boutique Hotel Casco Viejo go above and beyond for you! Nothing was too much to ask. It was super pretty and we loved hanging out on the rooftop; in the jacuzzi or just for a drink and enjoying the sunset. The beds were really really great and it all looked really clean and well taken care off. The hotel lays in the heart of old town so everywhere to explore. I would definitely and happily recommend this to my friends and family!

Everything!!!!! Cannot put in words the amount of effort the staff puts into their work. Super comfortable and luxurious accommodation in the heart of casco viejo. Totally recommend to come here and enjoy the nice whirlpool on the rooftop watching the skyline of Panama’s financial district.

The only thing I didn't love was the size of the room. We don't pack light ;) and it was hard to open 2 suitcases in the room. Everything else was amazing. Truly.

The staff at Amarla went above and beyond. Prior to travel they helped book cars and answered questions. We were welcomed with a rum drink-- such an amazing touch after a long day of travel. The restaurant was amazing. The hotel was BEAUTIFUL. I love that you could 'shop the room' with robes (which I bought 2 of!), shoes, etc- made especially for Amarla. They even packed us a breakfast to go in the morning because we had an early flight! Above and beyond.

I only wish I had booked a longer stay!

We loved EVERYTHING about Amarla Boutique Hotel from checkin to checkout. The property itself is absolutely beautiful with the views on the rooftop to match it. The little touches throughout were an added bonus (checkin cocktails, cool towels). The staff are very kind and welcoming. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Panamá City.

beautiful boutique hotel! great interior, breathtaking rooftop where you can have your breakfast and watch Panama City waking up. the breakfast was delicious, especially the Panamanian style dishes, and their cappuccino is one of the best. you must also try their restaurant kandela - every dish is recommendable! The staff is so attentive and professional, yet lovely - special shout-out to Jorge and Luis!
