The location of the lodge is absolutely amazing, especially considering the view (also from the pool) over the whole island. We got served some lovely breakfast with homemade buns, jam, eggs and some fresh fruit. We were treated very kind and all our special requests were dealt with no problems.

The place is beautiful. Super relaxed the second we checked in. We arrived really early but they couldn't be nicer when allowing us to use all facilities and recommending an amazing little snorkeling spot, 5 mins away.

Biscuits for breakfast was a mindblown the were crispy, soft and homemade. Pizza for dinner, food was overthetop. everything was fresh, home made, flavory. the lodge its in an actual cerrito surrinding by mango trees (sweet treats) we get nice views in the morning and dawn.

I didn't like that the only way to process transaction was at the restaurant they own down the street, BUT they do offer a discount on the amazing food too!

The view was incredible and the location was really convenient. I did not end up needing a taxi at all because it was about a 6 minute walk to the pier, there is a big hill to walk up though. Great spot with hammocks and a pool and the owner Hiddo gave me a nice deal for adding an extra night!

it’s not something I didn’t like, just be aware that it is located at the top of a hill and it can be tricky to get there if you don’t get a taxi or you are not used to exercise.

other than the beautiful location, the bed was more the comfy and my dog was very welcome! make sure to order the breakfast with a bread that looks like a muffin, delicious!!!

Loved this charming lodge, on the hillside overlooking the ocean, with the jungle right out the back door. Excellent location for birdwatching (right from my balcony!) and a great starting point for hiking trails. Staff was super helpful with giving me directions and suggestions. I saw countless bird species, poison dart frogs, and four species of butterflies. Cheap and satisfying breakfast with homemade biscuits and jam, and for dinner I had their amazing homemade pizza. The lodge recycles (apparently Taboga started a recycling program not long ago and this is much needed in Panamá). and composts kitchen scraps. My suite was well appointed and clean, with a nice view of the ocean from my deck, and I appreciated the original paintings on the walls. There’s a cute plunge pool and ranchito with hammocks on the property. I’m already planning a return trip!

There is a big hill walking up to Cerrito Lodge, so be ready for a workout!

The view and pool area was amazing! Breakfast was delicious and the service was exceptional. Very friendly owner that was super helpful. Highly suggest staying here!

I liked the breakfast, but I would have liked it better if it was included in the price for the stay. We were charged 8$ for scrambled eggs, home made bread (which was delicious), some fruit and a small cup of coffee. We also experienced a setback in the bathroom, right in the middle of my business, the water tank stopped filing and I had to use a bucket to help it fill and be able to flush it down.

I liked the view from Cerrito Tropical, you can see the boats waiting to go into the canal. I also liked that the place is located in a corner, with lots of trees and forrest behind the property, which makes it a peaceful place for relaxing, reading, sleeping in the hamocs and just chil.

The location isn't the best, it's on a steep hill. Once you're there you really don't feel like going back down the hill to go somewhere else for food or anything else, so we ended up buying pizza from the owner. Food was delicious but a bit pricey.

The place is beautiful, the staff is attentive. Although the pool is smaller than it looks online, we were able to enjoy it since only 2 more people used it at the same time. It's still a great value because the beach was crowded and dirty, so it was nice to be able to enjoy the pool instead. I got the biggest room and it was too big for us, but that was my fault for choosing the first available room, it was super comfy, nice balcony with hammocks.

This was our third time to Cerrito Tropical. We´ve tried the room and two different size apartments. All have been great! The plunge pool was a great addition and a nice place to hang out. The pizza service was especially to my friends liking. The pizzas were good. The owners and staff are exellent. The walk to the Cerrito Tropiccal has an quite steep hill to climb at the end. This maybe difficult to some. There is a taxi service for 1,50$/pp available. So the climb could be avoided. Will be staying here, when going to Taboga for the next time.

We loved this hotel! It was the last stop of our 10 day visit to Panama. Our hosts, Cynthia and Hiddo were very helpful. We upgraded to the suite and had a wonderful view of the bay. The plunge pool was very refreshing. We had Cynthia's awesome pizza one night, delish! Cold drinks were offered to us as soon as we checked in. Hiddo prepared a lovely breakfast for us on our last day. I highly recommend the Cerrito Tropical Eco Lodge.
