It was one of the most unique places I have ever visit. It is very peaceful and quite and the feeling is like you are in the middle of the forest. Our host Vicky was so nice and amazing.

Super friendly and helpfull staff. Beautiful place with lovely plunge pool, a nice deck and hammocks for relaxing. The rooms were nice and clean. We stayed for a full week and enjoyed it very much. The breakfast was good. Staying at the Cerrito Tropical Eco Lodge felt like being at home (away from home). I hope I'll get the chance to visit again one day!

Nothing, place is great!

Lovely property. Staff are great and Vicki was amazing. Breakfast was great and they also have a deal with a local restaurant that delivers to the hotel. Rooms are very spacious and next time I'll go for two nights instead of one!

We stayed here in 2018, a one night get away from Panama City. Fast forward to February 2024, and because we were going back to Panama City, we knew we had to go back to Isla Taboga and stay at Cerrito Tropical again. The room now has a refrigerator. Wasn't expecting that, but yay! And the room was a bit spiffier. I think it was the same room with some updates. Breakfast is delicious. I did use the plunge pool. Another yay! I fondly remember sitting out on the deck in 2018 and watching the rain. So we had to go out on the deck again in the evening, and just chill. Marvelous!

I enjoyed my stay there, but they call it an eco lodge so I was expecting it to be a bit more eco friendly - for example, instead of selling small individual plastic water bottles, they can charge to refill bottles from their garrafón. I also thought the price to value ratio wasn’t quite right.

Beds are a little firm, I didn't mind, my wife prefers slightly softer. Shower was excellent, definitely worth the price, Isla Taboga is preciously peaceful.

The mirror is in a very inconvenient location for guys shaving. The lodge is at the top of a very steep climb. It was no problem for us but I can imagine it could be for some people.

I travel a lot and cannot think of anywhere where I’ve stayed where the staff were so friendly and engaging.

Of course, the property is way up a steep hill, but Cynthia was generous with rides and the walk down was doable and interesting, although hot!

The staff was super helpful. Cynthia picked us up at the restaurant a couple times and Vicki gave us some tips. The view was great. It was very quiet. The plunge pool was refreshing.

Far from the beach and platform. But they have free cars - order if you are with children.

We have never experienced such a warm welcome in our lives! The child has allergies, so the breakfast was changed. They found a car for us for an excursion to the top of the mountain. We ordered a free car to the platform.

We stayed 6nights in one of the top floor apartments. The owners are friendly and picked us up from the ferry dock. Vicky, who is running the place was just great (stay awesome ;)) try her pizza!! The room was clean and bug-free. Ac working fine. Only the wifi was slow and not that stable but I guess you have to deal with that on the whole island. Special advice for taboga in general: there are no supermarkets, the small stores are often out of anything (water, bread, etc) and charge double price compared to the city. Take everything you can with you on the ferry!

They include vehicle but only when you arrive and when you leave so if you want to move you need to walk and its really high.

Only stay 2 nights and 3 days but everything was great! The lady that assist us was really sweet, she help us in everything we need. The men at the restaurante was really polite, he help us saving our luggage and offer his assistance. The only bad thing is a little bit far away from the beach but it include transport so it's not a big deal. This place includes: TV, Fast Wifi, hot shower, private badroom, air conditioner, transport, towells and little fridge. Keep in mind the view is not the best since it's with nature but really nice pool and confortable beds so doesn't boder me.

Incredible view, convenient location in a quiet place (no one will disturb your sleep!), very hospitable hosts and staff, and incredibly delicious homemade breakfast. Also don't miss the opportunity to visit Calaloo Restaurant near the beach, the food and cocktails are amazing. You can also leave there your luggage on arrival and before you leave.

More can be done to reduce the big mountain of waste in Taboga. Every evening, food gets delivered from the restaurant to the Eco Lodge. Why not use reusable boxes instead of the plastic? Just an idea ;-)

Coming from the ferry, you can very easily leave your bagage at the restaurant. Nice place to sit outside, good food (and delicious hummus), walking distance to the beach and to some nice hikes.

The place was absolutely stunning - a gorgeous little island with such friendly and humble people. The hotel was one of the nicest I've stayed in. Delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend!
