We loved the location in the bay and our view and access from terrace directly to the ocean. Water was calm, clean, warm and we swam and snorkeled every day. The staff was very friendly, bungalow spacious and clean with both inside and outside shower and two floor windows to watch the colorful fishes swim below our bungalow. Reasonable restaurant prices (15-20 USD for main course, 2-8 USD for drink), food very tasty (especially the grilled tuna :)). Water taxi costs 5 USD to the Bocas town. We made a great choice to book this hotel.

According to the pictures we thought we were in the bungalows over the ocean, instead we were in an apartment on top of the kitchen/restaurant. We booked this place for a special celebration but a change wasn’t offered! The bay transfers noise at night from nearby parties until 3am. The hotel offers earplugs…

The location was nice and beautiful sunset views, free kayaks and new paddle boards added a lot of fun with the kids! Nice, helpful staff and good breakfast!

My travel partner has a gluten allergy, and there weren't a ton of gluten free options available. The wifi was awful unless you were right at the main lodge. We would have loved to be able to walk to Basti town, suggestion to add a path.

For the most part, staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable. We stayed in two rooms and loved both the over-water bungalow and tree house. We enjoyed the nature path and paid activities offered by the hotel; Alejandro was the best!

The Seaview room is very small not a problem if the weather is nice and you can go outside, but it did rain quite a bit when we were there.

The water is not very clear for nice swimming or snorkeling unfortunately.

They had a nice botanical garden with animals. Saw 4 sloths, spiders, birds, caymans. Nice spacious rooms. Food was good! Good price. Bartender was amazing. Not to far from Bocas town

Minor flaws: some towels and the bed canopy had some stains on them. After the first night a cockroach was in the living room (guess that can happen in any accomodation in a place like Bocas) cleaning staff quickly took care of it.

We stayed for 3 nights in the water bungalow next to the reception. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Pierre the bar keeper makes the best caipirinha ever ;) The room was quite clean and everything (room, bed, towels) had a good smell on it. The bed was huge and very comfy. The wifi was stable and around 40mbps. Breakfast was quite ok. All in all we had a great time at eclipse del mar. And got what we were looking for for the money.

The only drawback was it was a ways from the town. But that comes with benifits as well because it was very quiet in our corner of the bay.

The staff were so friendly. In particular Freddie and the ladies in the kitchen. The food was great. There were paddle boards that we used as well as kayaks.

It can be really buggy being over the water, so just be forewarned and use bug spray.

From the moment we arrived, the staff at Eclypse de Mar exceeded our expectations, they were helpful, kind and attentive. The over-the-water bungalow was very comfortable and clean. We love that the resort is eco-conscious. We heard about the noise from across the water and there is noise but Ecylpse has that handled as well, by providing ear plugs if needed. I used the ear plugs, my husband didn't need them. The food at the restaurant was delicious and meal right sized. We can't wait to come back!

The bungalow is spacious and has a private deck with access to the water. The hammock was a happy surprise. We enjoyed using the kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling equipment. A beautiful place to stay for beach lovers. Highly recommended A++

We'd stayed in another nearby property prior to the Ecylpse which had clear water around it which was perfect for snorkelling. Unfortunately the water at the Eclypse wasn't so clear. That might have just been us being unlucky with the weather, but seeing as it was fine just two miles away I'm not sure that's the case. BUT, it was still lovely and warm to swim in. There was also a small fault with the ceiling fan in our room which meant it made a clicking noise throughout the night which kept the kids awake. I told the staff and they were apologetic and said they'd get it fixed, so hopefully no one else will notice.

The Eclypse is a very nice hotel. It looks fantastic, our hut-on-stilts was big and was absolutely fine for our family (children aged 13 and 10). The fact that the property backed onto its own nature reserve gave it an edge over hotels; we saw caiman, a sloth, some cool little red frogs and an impressively sized moth one evening. For those not so keen on the jungle, there were cocktails and really good food in the restaurant. Not the speediest of service but that wasn't a problem for me; we were on Caribbean time!

We loved everything!!!

We absolutely loved everything about this property. The location is truly a dream. Our honeymoon bungalow was on the water and very private. My husband and I have very stressful jobs and we really needed a getaway. This is the perfect place to relax and disconnect from the world. All of the meals were delicious. The staff - Nicolas and Manuela were outstanding and so friendly.. We love them. We were truly received the very best service. We loved this place so much that we decided to come back every year. We absolutely recommend this property 100%+++
