Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe Internet did not really work while I was there.
Loved the tall ceilings, the AC, and the location in old town. Room was super quiet and had great darkening shades.

United StatesEverything was wonderful.
it is a beautiful hotel, and our room was lovely, very comfortable and quiet. We only stayed one night, so we didn’t get to enjoy the property as much as I would have liked. The staff was great, especially Fabiola, who was very attentive and was there to greet us after hours. (I was in contact with her quite a lot the day of check-in because our flight was delayed.) She was very helpful and kind.

United StatesLoud Street Party Nosie until 230am. We stayed Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.
Great Staff, Nice Big Room, Good A/C, Nice Bar. Not really in Casco Viejo, on the outer edge which we liked as it is closer to the Metro, Central Avenue and the Mercado. Not all guests will like this location.

6 night stay. Booked room with kitchen but never used it as the restaurant was so good. Could use a new fry pan and maybe oil would be useful. Comfortable bed!

United Kingdomvalue for money wise, I found it not great/bad. if you are a family, perhaps it makes sense because it is not a "double room", instead much more like a 1-bedroom apartment with a big living room. But given the lack of a nice view, no breakfast or room service (in the sense of making the beds, not referring to meals) included, I found the price too steep for a couple vs. other options.
great location near all interesting places in Casco Viejo. Nice, spacious apartment, well decorated and equipped. Staff was super nice.

AustraliaNothing, would stay again.
Location was excellent, easily walkable to all restaurants, bars and shops. Felt very safe, lots of other tourists walking the streets. however awe heard very little street noise from our room. The rooms are beautifully decorated, large rooms with high ceilings. While this one did not have a kitchen, it had all crockery and cutlery needed including a microwave and fridge. The best aspect of the room was the direct access to the sun balcony with the beautiful garden views, while it is a shared area, we had it all to ourselves. Staff are lovely and very accommodating, we left our large luggage there for 4 nights while we went to Bocas del Toro. The restaurant downstairs had great food, we ate there twice because it was just so easy.

CanadaAccessing our room was a bit challenging as we had to carry our suitcases up steep, narrow cement steps (other rooms in the hotel didn't have to do this). We were straight across from a noisy, poorer housing development and we didn't want to use our balcony because we felt like we were intruding on their space.
I liked the location of the hotel in historical Casco Viejo, as we could walk out our door and be in the most fascinating part of Panama City. The hotel's restaurant is convenient and excellent. The room was spacious and recently renovated with a large fridge, excellent linens, coffee, wine glasses, comfortable beds and a well appointed bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

United KingdomRoom was not serviced or bed made in the 4 nights I stayed. I know I could have asked. I was slightly surprised to be told that staff did not go into rooms if guest was out. I did ask for toilet paper bin To be emptied after 2 days. Room very well equipped. Fridge, microwave, crockery etc. would have been nice to have a comfortable chair. There were 2 plastic dining chairs. However overall I loved staying at las Clementinas and would stay there again.

United StatesIt was all pretty good. I guess the a/c could do with an upgrade. It struggled to really cool the room but did sufficiently ok.
Great location and relatively large accommodation for family of 4. Very good / handy attached garden restaurant and great views of the city from the roof (but wish the rooftop bar was functional). They have a very good tour guy (Luis) who took us on a surprisingly good eco tour of the canal and Gatun Lake for far below internet prices. Recommended. Overall, I really loved Panama City old town. Fantastic restaurants, bars and good vibe. Yet very easy to get into the surrounding jungle.

CanadaThe rooms were really beautiful. The staff were very warm, and welcoming. We arrived a little bit flustered after a long drive. The parking was a couple of blocks away, and rather than directing us on maps, they actually came with us to show us where to go which was so appreciated. They had amazing restaurant recommendations, and were overall just really pleasant. The restaurant was great, and rooftop was such a bonus! Loved staying here :)

United StatesThe only complaint I had was not the fault of this hotel. There is a lot of street noise with people playing and shouting well into the night. Nearby nightclubs have very loud music. There are no elevators to get to the floors which was not a problem for most of my party, but could be for those who can't do steps.

United StatesSince it was in the heart of the old town and near bars, it was very noisy at night and into the wee hours of the morning. We used our white noise on our phones to try to drown out the bass and noise. Bring earplugs and white noise.
Gorgeous building right in the heart of Casco Viejo. We loved the location for its proximity to restaurants and shopping. The hotel provided a driver to pick us up and the airport. We loved our large suite. There was a nice kitchen with coffee and bottled water. Great shower and comfortable bed (although we prefer a king sized bed vs. a queen). We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the attached restaurant. Again, can't beat the location.
