Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesWe were under the impression via Booking.com that there was a free airport shuttle, but there isn't. 'not the hotel's fault, however. There was plenty of hot water in the sink, but NOT in the shower, as it was only warm.
Phenomenal view from our eyelash window! Friendly receptionists and waiters. Breakfast was good. The king-sized bed was comfy.

Romaniathe hotel facilities (bar, gym, pool) could use some improvements as they are quite basic. (ie. pool is in the same place with the conference rooms so one may be spotted in their swimming suits during business meetings:)

PanamaI am handicapped and they don't have valet parking. Good thing is that their parking lot is not too far. But it was uncomfortable not to have a bell boy.
Loved the fresh fruit. They allowed me 2 hours of courtesy late check out. I really liked that. I am very thankful they had almond milk for my coffee.

EstoniaBreakfast was the worst - very limited selection. On arrival day there was a conference in the pool area so didn't really wan't to go there in your swimwear when there were people hanging around in suits. Spent 10 minutes walking around my floor looking for Ice following the signs - turns out there is no ice option on the floor and the signs are from "previous time" and do not apply - you have to go to lobby to get ice. Room temperature upon arrival was like 13C - couldn't really get it down from the controller except when you turned the whole thing off - in about 30 minutes the room started getting a damp smell which the AC was apparently covering. All the hotel areas were too cold - the staff in the reception were wearing coats! Also you got the impression from the pictures when booking the hotel that it is very tall and you have a ocean view - the hotel actually only have 6 floors and our room view was not facing the ocean but instead had a random view of the hotel parking lot. Overall hotel has a very outdated feel.

United KingdomIn all honesty, everything could have been better. We're not demanding travellers but this fell way below even the most modest of expectations. We had to change the room, and should have done a further time if it wasn't going to waste more of our trip. Replacement room and general hotel facilities were tired, dilapidated and smelt like damp. No offer of a full or partial refund. We should have trusted our instinct and stayed in the old quarter. Regrettable experience.
The local taxis were cheap, so we could leave the general area of the hotel.

CanadaHotel public spaces are kept frigid. On entry to room, temp was set to 20°c. Even after turning off, room never to warmed to a comfortable temp. Too bad as rest of hotel is great.
