The corridor outside of the room where the lift is located is hot like hell as the air-conditioner compressors are placed there. It doesn't affect the temperature in the room but it is awful every time you need to leave and come back to your room.

The room is huge for the price that I paid. The living room/kitchen part of the room has high ceiling. The balcony facing the sea has great scenery. Facilities in the room are beyond my expectation.

The same rooftop bar produces a great deal of noise, both loud music and noisy guests departing sometimes after 2am, if you are a light sleeper, this can really put a damper on your stay, if you are, either consider another hotel, or taking ear plugs. The hotel could simply improve matters by turning down the volume, but despite being aware of the issue, seem disinclined to do so.

The location is excellent for exploring Casco Viejo and the Oasis offers large unusually furnished accomodation, many of the rooms being on two floors, with kitchen and two bathrooms. The rooftop bar is a great place to view the city in a congenial atmosphere with a range of drinks and bar snacks. The staff are friendly and obliging.

Because it's so central, there's quite a bit of noise from the bars etc. outside, but it's not too bad.

Really lovely restored building in the centre of Casco Viejo. Our room (in the penthouse) had beautiful views across the bay, and was spacious and comfortable. There was also a very nice communal lounge, which I imagine would be great if you wanted a bit of space to chill outside a dorm room. Most of all, the staff were extremely warm and helpful, and the (free) guided tour was also great, and a wonderful way to start the holiday.

However, the hotel was not as smart as the pictures seemed to indicate, and the two suites that we stayed in were quite odd because they seem to have been converted from a former layout. So neither bedroom we stayed in had any natural light (i.e. window), and although one had a full kitchen and the other a kitchenette, neither were really usable except to prepare pre-prepared food, because there were no pots or pans or even cutting knives etc. One suite (for two people) had two bathrooms though... There's also a lot of nighttime noise pollution from the rooftop bar next door, but that's pretty typical for the whole Casco Viejo area, I guess.

This was good value for money, and good for those who like kind of quirky places. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and everything was clean.

Bar upstairs is a terrace bar with a terrific view and a fairly loud music system, definitely aware of it in room, but it didn't keep us awake. Not mad keen on internal rooms with no windows.

Breakfast didn't seem to be an option in the hotel we ate next door it was very good. Room was funky (decor and layout wise(on two floors) and interesting.

I marked it down because of the loud music coming from the rooftop bar. It went on as late as 2 a.m. We were on the floor right under the bar. Sometimes it felt as if the music was playing in our room. Although there were many good things about the hotel, I wouldn’t stay there again. The music is unbearable.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and clean. We appreciate that they stored our luggage on checkout day, including some things that need to be kept refrigerated. The hotel location is very good relative to places in Casco Viejo.

The noise from the rooftop bar permeates the whole building and is pretty hard to ignore. The kitchen areas don't have cooking equipment, like pans, so we couldn't cook but did use the fridge and toaster. (There was a coffee pod machine too). The food options on the roof are limited and poor quality but expensive, avoid if you can

We stayed in 2 rooms on 2 occasions here, both rooms were really suites, big with high ceilings dining table and chairs and kitchen. Our first room was at the front and had a double balcony with great views of the bay and over to the skyline of newer Panama city. Our second room had no windows at all, but was for 3, I had made a mistake with our booking. The woman who was working when we arrived was really helpful and gave a tour of the room explaining things, when she wasn't there there was no-one else on reception, there seemed to be a man around but he paid no attention to us at all. We really appreciated the help of the woman who was cleaning when we arrived the second time too early to check-in and there was no receptionist and who made up the 3rd bed we didn't need. It's got a lift but there are still steps to the rooms. It's in a handy location for walking around Casco Viejo, but not near the metro or bus lines.

I wish that reception staff was around. Luckily, there was a very helpful cleaning lady who would answer my questions and track down the reception staff for me when necessary. Be advised - some knowledge of the Spanish language is very helpful as she didn't speak English.

My room was huge! I slept in the loft. The bed was comfortable and large. It was nice to have a separate living room and kitchen. The refrigerator and microwave came in handy. The entire room was very clean. As I was on a lower floor, the noise from the rooftop bar wasn't too bad but definitely recommend ear plugs!

Be prepared for street noise as you are in the heart of the old city and there is a rooftop bar.

Great location right and perfect jumping off point for a day of sight-seeing. One of our rooms had a balcony with an amazing view.

The location is amazing for walking around the area and getting to the grocery and restaurants! It was extremely hot inside the main corridors but the AC in the room works like a charm! Fun to have a roof top bar on location! The staff was so friendly and helpful, they even walked us down the street to a late night food vendor after our flight in! And helped us book taxis!

The only issue is the front door entrance to the hotel. The key provided to open the door sometime does not work and you have to wait outside for a few minutes for someone to buzz you in

There is a little quirkiness with the layout of the rooms. Some may find it charming; others may lean towards awkward. The lower priced room we originally booked was unacceptable, so the upgrade was somewhat forced on us. Still, the location and the balcony made all of the difference to the quality of our stay.

There was no breakfast included. The bed was among the best we experienced in five weeks of travel throughout Colombia, so Panama came through on that matter. The view from our balcony was incredible!

One air-conditioning unit worked, and the other did not. Unfortunately the one that did not was the one that was in the room. I also hated that you saw a ton of photos of balconies, but then discovered that the room I reserved did not have one. I should’ve read carefully, but I also felt a little deceived. When we arrived, there was no one working reception and a bunch of people from the restaurant tried to help, but it was quite confusing and took a long time. We were so tired. No hot water only cold. Shampoo which was nice. Honestly a little bit expensive for what it was.

The only down side was that the living room ac didn't work. If the ac gets replaced so that the living room cools down, this is an excellent place to stay.

I enjoyed staying here for the location and they are pet friendly. The space is also very spacious. I would stay again.
