Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ColombiaThe check-in times are incredibly late. We waited until 5:30 p.m. for the room to be delivered. However, they allowed us a late check-out.
The entire experience was incredibly enjoyable! The private beach provided exceptional comfort, offering a wide variety of delicious food available at any time through the restaurant buffet. The room was also very comfortable, featuring a spacious bed. We thoroughly enjoyed the cabaret show and beach cinema. I would definitely return for another visit.

AustraliaOur first experience of an all inclusive resort, we took the PLUS package which was recommended and it was much better. The resort has everything you want or need. Plenty of food, drinks and extra activities. The plus option allows you to choose restaurants, have a dedicated pool area, an higher standard of food and it’s less busy. All inclusive means no extra costs so helpful for the budget. The staff were very good, always happy and wanting to make your stay a pleasant one. Rooms were cleaned well, beds comfy, we had a deck looking over the sea which was great.

United KingdomIt would be even better if the food labels at the buffet and the dinner menus included allergen symbols so I didn't have to ask everytime I ate. It would also be lovely if there was a serve yourself coffee and tea area at breakfast and lunch. We often finished our breakfast by the time the person with tea/coffee came to our table. Communication was a real challenge that hindered our experiences of booking a shuttle from the airport and back. We were told different things at different times, and in the end I didn't make use of a shuttle I pre-paid because they would only take me to the airport 9 hours ahead of my flight. Instead I found someone privately to pick me up and give me a tour of Panama City.
We booked All Inclusive Plus and it was totally worth it to 1) have access to the adult only pool with a bar you could stand at from in the pool and fewer people/more space per person than the other pools, 2) exclusive access to the quieter part of the beach, 3) and first dibs on restaurant reservations. The All Inclusive buffet (our only option for breakfast and lunch) was stellar with something for everyone (even me who doesn't eat wheat or dairy). The staff were great about checking whenever I asked if something had lactose. They are very strict to not allow people to access the resort before check in or after 2:30pm on the day you check out. This keeps numbers down (a plus), but can be tricky if you arrive on an early flight or depart on a late one.

United KingdomThe service from check in made to wait and being told at 3 o’clock that the room was not ready and will be at 4pm. At 4pm being told to continue waiting as it will be after 5pm. Very disappointed having to wait with my elderly parents in the heat and it was made clear that due to mobility issues for my parents we needed 1 out of the 3 rooms booked on the ground floor as there were no lifts at the hotel. After being very stern with reception staff they provide us with a ground floor room. And was made available at the bottom of a steep gradient to get to it, which made it difficult for my parents in their 80s. We certainly would NOT use this hotel again.
The weather.

NamibiaAbout everything… from the restaurants serving terrible food to the hundreds of stairs leading you to the beach or different part of the hotel, the crowded pools closing at sunset, well… I made a bad choice booking this hotel, there was unfortunately nothing I liked in here…
If you like 1000+ rooms hotel club style and do not enjoy food or good wine, then this hotel might be for you …

CanadaService is very poor. The reception staff are not helpful and they choose which customers to serve first. I was next in line for check in when 2 white people came in. Instead of helping me first he served the white people first. Is it because i’m Asian? Then i asked him if i could use the phone so i can call my bank because i had a little problem and he refused.even the lady who checked us out was very rude. And when we forgot to bring the towels, the guy asked us to go back for them. He could have just called housekeeping to ask if the towels were in the room.
Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. The beach is beautiful. The food was excellent.

United StatesPoor check-in, crazy dinner reservations requirement a week ahead without menus. Room had ceiling leak. No drinks by the pool in their plastic cups , unless you buy a cup with a lid from one of the roaming homeless guys. No kids items on the menus (nuggets, etc. ). Kids 12+ billed as adults but unable to use adult pools. Total cluster. Rooms by the pool crazy loud until 3am. Ocean view means you see trees. Low quality wristband that must be worn 24x7 and scratches your face/body while you sleep. No management, place is on autopilot and several rules are insane. No food to the rooms, in a tropical storm, with only outside seating - enjoy figuring that one out.
The location and the pool are nice. The beach is pretty and the place has potential to be very nice.
