Getting in and out of the area was a bit of an issue due to traffic congestion. Neighbouring area outside of the secure area around the hotel, did not look safe.

AHHH, the hotel is perfect, 6 the one with the ocean view balcony. The staff were friendly and went the extra mile to make sure you were pleased. It is one of my favourite hotels worldwide.

There's nothing bad to say about this hotel. Just the mosquitos outside. Make sure you have your repellant spray or pick one up at the store near the hotel.

I would have given 10/10 however breakfast in the restaurant on my last day before I left was chaos so unfortunately my departing experience was not positive. The waitress forgot my juice, forgot my mushrooms, had to ask for coffee to be refilled, had to ask for butter and jams for the pastries, no avocado, the service and attention to detail was terrible for 5 star hotel. I would have been better off ordering room service like I did the previous morning.

The Kind Oceanfront room has a view to the city that was sensational. The bed was comfortable, the shower was large and water pressure fantastic. Turn down service on my first night included a cheese platter which was a nice touch! We ordered breakfast room service and it was delicious. The pool was beautiful and an excellent way to cool down and have a cocktail after a day of exploring in the heat and humidity.

Butler service is not great. I had booked a transfer from airport to the hotel. Never received an email confirmation so when I came off the plane I didn't know how to look for the car. I gave up and took a taxi. They whatsapped me afterwards and said the car was waiting for me. Then they proceeded to say they would TRY to remove the charge knowing that I did not get an email confirmation. Their IDEA of a resolution meant they were trying to pass their mistake to my pocketbook. I gave up using them that day. I don't trust people who cannot own up to their mistakes. Second issue, I paid the most for the room I had. I paid 1000/night for my stay in a Legends one bedroom suite. They put me on the lobby floor. Someone messed up and tried to move me to the top floor the following day. I don't travel lightly. I do not move after I unpack my bags. Lastly, the bathroom was for accessibility. It leaked. And the toilet is inside the shower... for 1000/ night in Panama.

They should have a dress code and enforce it. I saw guests walking bare chested through the lobby and other common areas and was not very pleasant. Leave that to the pool area.

I have eaten Eggs Benedict around the world! Sadly these eggs were pretty much fully cooked by the time they arrived and the hollandaise was not true hollandaise, in my opinion. Given that Panama has superior coffee, I was expecting a more exceptional cup of coffee, but the one served was fine. ( I ended up switching to cappuccino which was better tasting.) The pool is stylish with fabulous, huge sun umbrellas, but the area was rather limited for the number of guests staying in the hotel. (Be careful as the bottom of the pool is very slippery! ) Pool wait staff was truly exceptional every day changing chair towels while also serving drinks and food to guests. There is no gorgeous sandy beach to look out on, but the view of the ocean, causeway, and downtown Panama City were pleasant enough.

Breakfast was predictable and fine. Fruit plate was great. The fresh squeezed juice was amazing and the French pastries excellent each day! The outside terrace space is truly lovely and the wait staff five stars! As for the hotel- the location in Casco Viejo is romantic and iconic. The historic old building's new design is chic and spectacular. We enjoyed the Latin music on Friday night at the roof top bar. Throughout our stay the hotel personnel were extremely polite and accommodating. The Panamanian hotel staff all speak at least two or three languages, so the communication level between staff and guests was exceptional. The neighborhood where the hotel is located seemed very safe for walking the streets and seeing the other local museums, restaurants, and stores. All of our interactions with the local Panamanians was friendly and fun! Nobody was hounding us in the street. Checking out the local stands where the Guna people are selling molas and handcrafts was an added bonus. We felt safe exploring the area both during the day and at night.
