I couldn't have been more pleased with the hotel's location for a peaceful and tranquil stay. Situated away from the noisy city center, the hotel was surrounded by natural beauty. The lush, green landscapes and scenic vistas were nothing short of breathtaking. It was evident that great care had been taken to preserve the tranquility of the area, making it an oasis of calm and relaxation. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, the hotel's location was a true gem. Hiking trails and nature walks were easily accessible, allowing guests to explore the surrounding natural beauty at their own pace. It was a haven for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and find solace in its embrace. Despite its peaceful setting, the hotel wasn't isolated. It was conveniently located near local attractions and points of interest, ensuring that guests could easily venture out for sightseeing or cultural experiences. It was lovely! The tropical gardens surrounding the property were beautiful and immaculately maintained. Pool is large. Food was great. Staff was great. Even though we had lots of rain we had a relaxing and wonderful time.

Breakfast is good but not buffet and there are not many options

Very spacious room, very well decorated and very clean. Bathroom very spacious and with a lot of ammenities We had a smal balcony in front of the room that lead to the garden The swimming pool is nice All the environment of the hotel is great and friendly. The dogs in particular. Located in a quite place (not very close to the town center if one is walking). Friendly staff.

The shower was really bad. It was one very hard stream. Guess we were unlucky.

We stayed one night but wished we stayed longer. The golden frog is beautiful. Full of plants and in the middle of the valley. Staff is really sweet, rooms are big and clean. Breakfast is delicious.

The Golden Frog is slightly out of town - if you don't have vehicle this could be a problem as walking into town might be a little far for you.

Food at the Golden Frog is delicious - we ate dinner there every night. The rooms size, bed and bathroom - all more than expected. Sadly, we did not get a room with exceptional view but we did sit out on the 'porch' to listen to the birds quite a bit. Staff is very friendly and had numerous suggestions for us on things to do (other than some of the more obvious). The lush garden is beautifully manicured.

Had dinner once. Slightly disappointed in quality. Price higher than area, but it is very convenient.

Beautiful room overlooking the pool and with a view of the surrounding mountains. Bed comfortabe. Room nicely decorated. Breakfast was good (eggs, omlet, yogurt, fresh fruit). Grounds well kept up with a lot of trees and tropical plants. Good location in a quiet upscale residential area about 5 minutes from the center of town.

Having to check out. We lost one night due to delays on our flight and we certainly would have loved to spend more time there.

We loved the welcoming smiles from the staff at The Golden Frog and their quick responses to our questions and requests. The gardens are breathtaking and the food at the restaurant simply delicious.

It is a nice place to stay. We got room 1 which was comfortable but the dog also loved it a lot. Some chairs on the porch you couldn‘t use anymore. Breakfast was fine.

Leaving!

My husband and I had one room and our grown son had his own room. We all agreed that the Golden Frog was in beautiful surroundings with amazing mountain and floral views. The grounds and pool were well kept and taken care of. We had a large comfortable room and bed and slept soundly and well. The food was very good; we especially liked the breakfasts. There were 3 well-behaved dogs that lived or stayed at the hotel. One joined us for breakfast and dinner every day by laying at our feet. We never heard any of the dogs bark or beg.

Golden frog We loved our stay at the Golden Frog, after a short stay in the capital, El Valle offered a wonderfull change of scenery. The hotel is a little place of heaven! The staff and the food are great and the location is beautiful. We came a cross wildlife, did some good hikes and relaxed in the pool. This place offers great value for money.

We could not figure out how to turn on the tv. But it was fine because we used our phones.

Because of the great view, the distance to town is a bit further. But a taxi will take you to town for $2 or $3.

The view from our balcony was terrific! The staff was very friendly, breakfast was good and the swimming pool is definitely a plus.
