I can’t think of anything that I did not like. Getting here from Panamá City takes some time, but that seems to be the reason the town is not overdeveloped.

If you don’t mind a little walking, and prefer quieter evenings away from the pounding bass from some bars and restaurants, this is the place. We loved it. The view from the balcony is fantastic and the walk to shore carrying surf boards was not a problem. The beds are really nice, and the little A/C units were perfect for cooling and dehumidifying.

Quaint spot up off the main beach of Playa Venao, very comfortable, quiet and cozy. Nice nature trail close by along with walking distance to the beach, restaurants etc. Beautiful views. Very hospitable owners, highly recommended!

We booked one bedroom for 3 ppl plus 1 infant, we add our son last minute , when we checked in Mary greeted us very warmly and kindly.the first night the air conditioner went out Mary kindly gave us a new room to stay in with no extra charge over all great place with a good family friendly atmosphere I recommend staying here on you’re next trip to playa venue.

The lodge's location, about a 20-30 minute walk from the main town, presented a slight drawback. Nevertheless, the scenic stroll and the hosts' willingness to provide transportation when needed balanced this aspect.

Jonathan and Meredith were great hosts offering a warm welcome and valuable advice throughout our stay. The terrace's stunning seaview, the tranquil location, the closeness to the beach, the possibility to rent surfboards and the clean, spacious accommodation all contributed to a delightful experience.

We love the owners/host of the lodge, Meredith and Jonathan, the location, the view. This beautiful lodge gives you the feeling of comfort and chill/relax. With lots of common/shared space to hang out and the kitchen with all you need to prepared your meals… simply lovely. Rooms are comfy, clean and spacious …super for us 2😍😍

Where to start?? It was such a beautiful spot in playa venao, you only have to cross the street to access the beach. Meredith and Jonathan are perfect hosts, they open up their house and it feels like home. But without the Dutch weather 😂 Also, when you want to learn how to surf, Jonathan is your teacher! We already miss this place..

Friendly and helpful owners. Rooms were immaculate and well appointed. Kitchen had everything you need and was clean and tidy. Laid back scene in the common areas, nice views from the deck. One minute walk to the beach and 3 minute drive to town.

We had a wonderful stay at Surf Lodge. The place has a magical feel and is located on the mountainside with a beautiful view of the sea. Meredith and Jonathan were excellent hosts and are very welcoming, they will help you with anything and are so reliable. Would love to come back!
