How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.

The rooms dont look like the ones in the pictures, at all. The cleanliness is not the best.
Centric location, good price. The receptionist is kind and very helpful.

1. The current exchange rate on the day is 1USD to 3.7 but They set their own exchange rate (1USD to 4 soles) . I end up paying more in soles. 2. The staff do not know the wifi network. When I ask the password of the wifi, they do not seem to know. After I wait for ages, they finally give me the wifi for use. 3. I hear the noise and see the lights outside of the room when I was sleeping. 4. The main gate/door is not locked so anyone can just come in. do not feel secure.
Breakfast normal, wifi is working, 24 hours reception, close to city centre

WORST EXPERIENCE, DO NOT STAY HERE. The location on booking.com and google is incorrect, we had to call the staff for the correct location. The new location was very hard to find, no sign or anything. The staff were very rude. When we checked in they tried to charge us four times the price on booking.com. The bulb in the room was broken, they gave us a new one and made us change it ourselves. The website said the property had a shared kitchen but the staff said we had to go to a different location, 20 minutes away to use the kitchen. The website also said breakfast was included but they never provided it. On the second day we waited 2 hours for hot water. The wifi only works sometimes. The toilet was smelling and the room was dirty, the bedsheets were stained. The woman tried to make us leave before the check out time. Overall not worth it.

excellent feels like home welcome !! coffe or tea on arrival. The room was clean, the shower super hot and the breakkie really awesome and it is included in the price (incredible value!!!) They have a really cool Pizza and Art project going on and they make you paint one to add to their collection! higly recommended!

The owner changed the price at arrival and did not even inform us before, although we made the reservation a week in advance. The price was 4 times higher and there was supposed to be an error on Booking.com and we were forced to pay so we wouldn't be without a place to stay. We booked a room for 4 people but it was taken and were set up in a other room with more people. The breakfast time was set up but was different every day without any notice. Staff was very cold, without even getting the customers. Would avoid in future

The staff were not.nice. tried to overcharge me even tho I had booking. Cancelled my booking just before I came I booked a private room and they gave it to someone else and tried to charge me same for the dorms

a bit cold, but I think most hostel in this town might be.
The reviews I red before coming had lowered my expectations, so I was surprised positively! I paid exactly what stood in the announcement, and got an even bigger room that I expected (I paid 4 dollars for a individual room with private bathroom, which actually had two beds). They were comfortable, big and under the blankets I felt warm even though the room was a bit cold. It was also hot water in the shower.

No shower curtain, so the water went everywhere, the rooms are very humid. WiFi signal was bad.
Excellent value for you money. We had a private room with a bathroom for barely nothing!

The little trick they do in this hostel is just something unethical and unfair: you will book thinking that is the price and when you arrive they charge you much more saying booking is not updated. They charge you a dirty and unequipped kitchen and they don’t put you in the room you paid for. The rooms are not like in the pictures and the hostel next to it is managed by the same people and they do the same trick. Don’t book here!

The price of accommodation was higher than indicated on the website. The Internet did not work. For the use of the kitchen demanded payment of 5 sol. Dirty!
