Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Lovely boutique hotel in a nice garden Quiet and peaceful despite the chaos of Huarez We took the option of a 2 bedroom bungalow sharing with our friends rather than 2 separate rooms and appreciated the space and the full kitchen .

United StatesThe hotel is removed off the street so noise was minimized but there was a lot of dog barking at night.
The bungalow was very nice, bigger than I expected and with a bathroom for each bedroom. The garden outside the bungalow was also beautiful, and I really appreciated the water filter. Breakfast in the morning was simple but delicious, and the staff was so helpful.

NetherlandsNot mutch water out of the shower when you want a warm shower.
It has a good fresh breakfast. The location is fine not far and not really close to the center. In comparison to most locations in the city the hotel is located on a silent location. There are small supermarkets around the corner.

Villa Valencia went above and beyond our expectation! We booked the villa for 6 persons with 3 bedrooms. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, which was luxury. The villa was super clean. Our room was made daily. The staff even mops the floors outside daily! The bed was comfortable, and the sheets and blankets were of high quality. Breakfast was also really delicious and well balanced. There is a water filtration which also saved us from buying bottled waters. The staff were so genuine and helpful! Overall, we had a very comfortable stay. Very affordable villa for all it offers!

GermanyAlthough being really convenient, our room had no window.
We stayed for 5 nights in Valencia Villas in Huaraz. The accommodation is nicely designed with an interior yard and garden. The center of Huaraz is an easy walk of 15 min. Our room was very spacious and convenient, a fully equipped kitchen was included. The beds were comfortable, Wifi was good. Breakfast is included and of very good quality. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Taken together, Valencia Villas provides very good value for money and is a perfect option for a stay in Huaraz.

United StatesThis is a quaint hotel full of character. The lodging was not just a room but also had a kitchen and small living area attached. It is hidden off of the road and we felt secure and loved the courtyard area. The staff were amazing. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast of eggs, bread, fresh squeezed juice, fresh cut fruit and coffee/tea was available every morning. They even brought our breakfast to our room one morning when the dining area was full. Rooms are cleaned and fresh linens provided daily.

United StatesCan think of nothing, really.
Lovely little oasis in Huaraz. Very friendly staff though with limited English, but we made it work without a problem. A manager or owner is also available and very responsive on Whatsapp, which made arranging for extra nights and luggage storage even easier. Rooms and suites (I stayed in both) are very comfortable and clean, and the wifi is good. The inner courtyard is quite peaceful, and there are a couple of good restaurants nearby (including Roulette pizza and famed Chili Heaven). Within walking distance, though I like to walk, of central Huaraz. The free bus pickup upon arrival to town was also appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

United Statesthe water pressure in the shower could be improved. the first day there was only warm water coming out. then the next day they taught us a trick to keep the water hot which is to keep the kitchen faucet running hot water while you shower. there were 3 of us so that’s a lot of water getting wasted.
great staff! very friendly and very helpful especially when we were having hot water issues in the shower! there was a water fountain to fill your camel backs/water bottles with which helps a lot especially when you do so much hiking in the area.

United StatesThe staff were incredibly helpful and kind to my wife and I. We arrived late in Huaraz on our bus from Lima (Movilbus). The station is pretty close to the hotel and we had a car pick us up from our trekking tour. This hotel is a gem in a great location in Huaraz, close enough to walk to the city center and very quiet. My wife and I came back from our trek with some health issues that required an extra day of recovery and an onsite doctor. The hotel was extremely helpful and even went out to get us some rehydration medications and arranged to let us stay an extra night without moving rooms. The love from Hauraz is real and the family that runs this hotel are extremely kind. Highly recommend!
