Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesLovely hostel. The family were so kind. Not far from center, about 20 minute walk along some nice streets. We liked being a bit a way from the center, quit peaceful in the evenings. Wifi worked well. Nice rooms with breakfast in the morning to the room. Will definitely come back next time in Cuzco :D

NetherlandsThat we didn't stay longer!
Everything! Jenny and her family are amazing hosts. The hostel is in a quiet part of cusco just 10 min walk to the main square. A mini market and nice Italian restaurant are also close by. The rooms are huge and the private bathroom too. Everything always spotlessly clean (and even a daily tidy up which was a nice surprise). The breakfast is generous and delicious, served in your room or you can enjoy the alfresco area. Laundry service is well priced and all was returned clean and in full. Jenny speaks perfect English and has lots of knowledge of Cusco. Always ready to help in person or by WhatsApp. We stayed here three times as we based ourselves in cusco. Highly highly recommend.

United KingdomNothing for us, but younger or single travellers might want to note there's not a "hostel vibe" ie. No communal spaces. We loved it though. Nice and quiet!
Super clean, lovely staff, excellent room and lovely breakfast. The perfect place for us.

A little bit far away from main square (25mins walking), but I love walking, so it was fine for me. And this property located in San Blas, cute and local community. Quite close to some archeological sites.
The owner Yeni is very nice and friendly, also helped me to figure out the colectivo bus. Breakfast is local and good. Quiet neighbourhood.

Really lovely quiet hostal in the San Blas area of Cusco. So a short walk away from the main square. Near to cafes and restaurants in San Blas. The property is really clean , warm showers and really friendly family ran place. The owner is really helpful with tours and laundry etc. She also let us leave our bags there whilst we did the Inca trail. We even stayed for 3 days after the Inca trail too. The breakfast is fresh everyday.

United KingdomI cannot speak highly enough of this place, it was absolutely wonderful!! We originally booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for 6! We had a huge rooms with very comfy beds, which were spotlessly clean (as well as the bathroom). This hotel is located so close to the centre of Cusco but in a nice quiet neighbourhood just a few minutes walk away. The staff are incredible, can’t speak highly enough of them - always on hand to help with any questions or queries. They offer a good value laundry service too and nice breakfasts if you want to add this on. They also helpfully stored our luggage whilst we did the 5 day Salkantay Trek.

IrelandThe only thing I can think of is the power of the shower, it was quite weak, however it still did the job.
The place was simple but had all what's necessary for the stay- comfy bed, shower, peace, and quiet. It's quite close to the main square - about 20 mins walk. Location itself - in a quiet and safe area, I didn't have any safety related concerns even walking on my own in the late evening time. Also, the owner lady was super nice and accommodating - answered any questions I had, she organised a taxi for me prior to departure from Cusco and even gave me a small Alpaca keyring as a present!

GermanyWe loved Eco Aventura and stayed here twice. The staff was extremely friendly, gave us amazing tips for the city and they even bring you the breakfast to the room. The rooms are cozy and the WiFi works perfectly. Also the laundry service is great. The location is a 10-15 minutes walk from the centre and around 5 minutes to the charming district San Blas. We loved the quiet street and didn't mind the walking at all. Around the corner there's a great supermarket and a very cheap and super nice Cafe, as well.

BelgiumThe room/ building is cold. Sometimes colder than outside. So you need to wear bit more clothes when you hang out in the room. But the moment you lay in the bed, it’s perfect! For breakfast, it would be little bit more comfortable to have it in the patio instead of in the room.
She, staff, is so friendly. We could leave our luggage over there when we went to MP. Even the day we left, we had a night bus and it was possible to stay there the whole day with our luggage. She helps with tours. The beds are amazing comfortable. Good blankets!

United KingdomThe shower was only warm.
We loved staying here for a couple of nights in Cusco. The staff were brilliant, welcoming, friendly, full of helpful advice. The room was a bit chilly but extra blankets were offered. This place is a great option if you are on a budget therefore my rating reflects this is a $15 a night hostal not the Ritz. We would definitely stay here again.
