Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyI wish the fire would burn more often, so it would be more cosy and warm in the dining area and also better heater for the rooms - it was quite cold.
Such a beautiful place surrounded by nature with very lovely people & a lot of details! The breakfast was nice, egg with bread & some fruits, they even made me some Porridge because I had stomach problems. The dinner was very yummy as well :)

United KingdomThe food was a little basic but perfectly adequate for rural Peru.
Lovely quirky hotel, we just loved the whole place. It felt Peruvian and we enjoyed sitting in the snug with tea after supper. Sabancaya (volcano) puffing away in the distance was novel. The staff were fantastic.

BulgariaUnique place done with taste and attention to detail. Views from the lodge are stunning. Hot shower. Not cold in the night. Breakfast and dinner good, can be bigger and with more variety. Lady at reception is very helpful. She runs everything so make sure you catch her if you need anything. Highly recommend this place for more than 1 night.

United KingdomNothing to dislike. We stayed for 3 nights and our room wasn’t cleaned in that time. We didn’t mind but it might have been nice to have emptied the bins? We wish we could have stayed longer.
We loved it here, the property is very stylish and the location is outstanding. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

PeruBreakfast could have had more fruit. The wood for the chimney was green and wouldn´t burn. We might have spent more time there if we could have had a good fire. The rooms are cold. A heater would have helped or a nice feather comforter instead of the heavy wool blankets. The ceiling lets a lot of light in, which would be great if we spent more time in the room during the day. But we mostly were out and about. It also lets in a lot of morning light which doesn´t work for a late sleeper.
The room was big. The property was quiet. The best part was that it was close to the thermal baths in Coporaque.

EcuadorNothing - just stay here! Do bring warm clothes & hiking shoes!
This beautiful lodge is located in the perfect spot from where to explore the amazing Colca Canyon. In fact, this lodge is within our top 3 of all the places we stayed at during our one month trip through Peru! Johana, the french girl that runs the place is super friendly and informative. She recommended us a hike from a small village through an incredible canyon ending at one of the hotsprings, and that was just great advice as we had such an incredible day! Around the hotel there are several great trails to self explore, as well as the nearby hotsprings at just a 20 minute hike. Coporaque itself is a lovely authentic village with an interesting Casa Cultural and photo gallery. The locals are friendly and often dress in their own distinctive traditional clothing, you really feel high up in the Andes! If you get a chance, talk to Johana about all her ideas and her own social project, she has a great story to tell you & you may even want to support her great ideas for the community! The lodge itself is beautifully built, with incredible artwork and style. The meals are fantastic and healthy, and the last breakfast we had outside in the sun which was great! Oh, and I almost forgot, they have very tasty ¨papas fritas¨...we ordered a bunch of fries and loved them after a long day hiking!

This is a beautiful bed and breakfast. We loved the decor and very comfortable beds. Homemade jam at breakfast was delicious with great volcano views. Joanna (the current hotelier) was very knowledgeable and gave great advice on how to spend our limited time. Super kid friendly (ours were 7 and 4 at the time) and cozy. Laundry prices were fair and it was done quickly.

SloveniaThere was not hot shower at first, but the host fixed it after we asked for it and changed our room/house. After it was hot, but not consistent.
The hosts are super friendly and caring. They helped us when our motorbike broke down. Breakfast is good, but dinner (for additional 25 soles/pp) was delicious. Location is excellent, with great views on vulcano and surrounding nature. Natural hot pools are only 20min walking distance away - great downhill hike and taxi back up. Would recommend a stay at Ayni Anna Wasi.

PeruI have to be honest there was no hot water though. They said it was some thing with the gas running out, so just when you make a reservation call the day before and make sure that they have hot water. I didn’t shower for two days and I was fine with that because I was going to a more expensive hotel afterward. it would have been uncomfortable after day 3. Nearby they have two different hot springs that are 2 to 10 minutes away. One has a pool so you can always just go there and relax. However this experience was priceless, just walking outside and seeing that view, was so energizing and invigorating. I love this property. I love the people that run it, it is a once in a lifetime experience and it’s worth every second. It is a beautiful property. I highly recommend spending a day or two here if you’re deciding to go somewhere else in the area. It is an experience of a lifetime.
First of all, can we say adorable. All of the properties have a short round door so you have to like crouch to get underneath them. My mom said it looks like Snow White and the seven dwarves. I thought that was so funny. They have five cabins, and then the main house that you can go in to have breakfast, relax and chill and there’s an art gallery. The main house is so well decorated and super cool. You can feel the love that went into this facility. The people were awesome the conversation was phenomenal. The views are epic. Like a dream. You just walked outside and you cannot believe how beautiful it is, it’s like the movie “The sound of music.” So beautiful. This is where you go to disconnect. There are no TVs in the rooms but they do have WiFi. The breakfast is simple it’s basically bread, an egg made of however you choose, I’m sure you can ask for an extra egg I never did and fruit. They have a variety of tea and they might have juice if you ask but I don’t drink juice so I don’t know. They do have coffee if you would like that. I never had lunch or dinner there so I don’t know if they do that. I always went to town for lunch during a tour and I don’t eat dinner so I didn’t inquire about that. The Wi-Fi is excellent here. But you have to be in or near the main house. It worked perfectly in my room cabin 3. I think it doesn’t work very well in cabins number one and two as they are a bit further but it works well everywhere else. They do you have a mosquito net on the bed so you just have to make sure that there’s no bugs in it before you get in. There was a fly in the room when I got in there but it was probably because I left the door open for a while before I walked in while talking to the owners. I just sprayed it with some bug spray and it fell so I felt bad killing a bug but I couldn’t have it buzzing around all night. The rooms were so well decorated and the bed was so unbelievably warm. Everything about this place is phenomenal.
