Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyIt’s such a tranquil stay with crystal Titcaca water few meters away and beautiful mountain at the background. It’s also a unique experience of local’s life. Guido is a thoughtful and genuine host. Sarah cooks amazing meals. The kids are lovely! At the garden there are fresh veggies and farm there’s even an alpaca! Just mind that you need to be an hour on taxi from Puno to get there but it’s worth it. Also, if you suffer from altitude sickness, maybe tell them to cook less fried food. The fried dough in the morning are delicious, but also the boiled veggies and quinoa soups!

United KingdomWe liked everything!
Amazing place to stay. Right on the edge of the lake in a perfect setting. The room was spotlessly clean and had wonderful views over the lake - complete with llama and a cow. We were invited to join in with shepherding the sheep and llama to their daily grazing fields along the shores of the lake. We also enjoyed shelling beans and visiting a local, annual fiesta! The family are very welcoming and helpful if anything is needed. Food was excellent. This stay was a real slice of local life and we loved it all. Guido took us out kayaking which was great fun and also arranged for a boat to visit the Uros floating islands. Other trips and activities were available. Guido arranged our transport from Puno and back again. We stayed 3 nights and highly recommend a stay here!

SwitzerlandWords can not describe how excellent this experience with Guido and his family was. Throughly feeling part of the family and their goal to make everything fabulous in details. The activities and food were great and made sure we could have the beste experience ever to imagine at Lake Titicaca. Even going into the city of Puno, which is save, Guido made sure a taxi was arranged and I could easily and more importantly savely go back to the hotel/lodge. I will definitely return one day! Once again many thanks for having us over and all that you have done for us.

It was perfect, especially the local culture and freshly prepared food. We felt like being part of the family and would defenetily recommend staying here if you would like to get in touch with the locals.

AustraliaThe perfect place to stay on Lake Titicaca; beautiful view of the lake from your room, lovely home cooked food; and Guido and his family are so lovely. We enjoyed walking the sheep and llama to the field, had a great kayak with Guido to a nearby beach, the best place to swim in the lake is right there in front of your room.

United KingdomThe family are amazing and the activities they let you be involved in such as farming and walking their llama , for no extra cost were priceless . Also the tour to an Uros island from this property was much more authentic I was the only tourist on the island. Best experience on my whole years travel. I highly recommend staying there for at least 2 nights . Thank you for an incredible experience which I will never forget

CanadaNo vehicle access to the property made it difficult to walk from the road to the lodge with luggage.
A little piece of heaven to sit by the lake, visit the Floating islands, hike, kayak and experience the rural Peruvian life.

United KingdomVery authentic, living with the Luquina community among Guido and his family. Meals were delicious, room clean, and just on the edge of Titicaca. It's quite a journey from Puno (1.3h in taxi, we returned by boat) but worth the experience. Guido organised for us a trip to Uros with his boat and we came back by Kayak. Spend time with his family, and did some work at the farm as well
