Centrally located and a really nice vibe from the team and guests. They light a little fire in the evenings which is really nice, and there's a terrace with great panoramic views of the mountains. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, including a blender. Breakfast was great, I especially appreciated the strong Bialleti-made coffee on the mornings when I wasn't leaving before breakfast to hike.

Breakfast is very late & no option to get packed breakfast when leaving early for hikes. Due to start at 7:30 but even when we would arrive early we would not be eating until after 7:50. A simple packed option would be great. Headboard on bed was not attached to wall correctly so was loose and banging whenever ever sitting against it Poor pillows Shower- good pressure- super difficult to control temperature

Empty common area due to low season

Quiet location but within a couple of minute walk we could reach the center and great restaurants. Julio was super nice and helpful with arranging tours and best places to visit!

Clean and confortable room in a great location! Breakfast is simple but good and made with great care, and you have access to a very functional kitchen! Staff has been very friendly and helpful, made me feel at home!

the toilet may need a little update, some old stains. But not mean it’s dirty. aalthough breakfast included,but most of of hikes starts very early so didn’t really have chance to have it (but the one time I had was nice, fresh juice, eggs, bread, coffee…)

location is great, still close to everything but more quiet Stuff all very friendly and always willing to help. room was clean and comfortable. and there is a functional kitchen and refrigerator available to use! Will stay again next time if I come back for more hikes

Great location and hostel. The owner is super friendly and gave us a lot of tipps to discover the region. He even booked a tour and organized a guided bike tour for us. We felt like at home. It was great and we highly recommend this hostel.

All the staff has been incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. I received a lot of tips for tours. The location of the accomodation is excellent- located in a safe area, close to the city center and with collectivos departing right behind the house. Every day the breakfast is freshly prepared based on personal preferences.

From the first moment on we felt very welcome at the Hostel. The owners and the staff are very nice, fluent in English and helpful with everything. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is delicious. Furthermore evrything is clean and the place has a rooftop terrace and a table tennis. From the hostel it is approx. 5 minutes to the main street. We definitely recommend this hostel for a cozy and welcoming stay in Huaraz!

Benkawasi hostel is a perfectly located accommodation, walking distance from the central square and all the great restaurants, coffee shops or even bus stations. The rooms are in perfect conditions, well equipped and super clean. The hostel counts with a rooftop terrace where you can enjoy an amazing view to the majestic mountains! And in top of all that, the owner; Benka as well as all the employees are such a lovely people, very helpful and attentive; providing all kind of helpful tips and advices, always making sure that you are going to have the best experience. Well, I stayed longer than I planned :) so I couldn’t recommend you better place to stay!
