The area is a party zone with disco-bars and karaokes around - so if you want to sleep before 4am - you need to book another place. The bathrooms are all so tiny - but seems its a common problem everywhere in Peru. No kitchen and common area is kind of small.

The breakfast is good: eggs, toast, cheese, fruit and juice. The decouration inside is gorgeous; very original setup for the reception. All is very clean. Beds have curtains and light and a small fan (however the type of plug by the bed is not universal and you may need an adaptor or charge your phone at other places). They organize social events every evening in the roof-top bar. Have laundry service 8s/kilo. Have drinking water and hot water for tea at the reception.

My bed was by the window to the main street with an Irish pub directly below. It was extremely noise. Also there are only two bathrooms per floor which felt too little.

I'd have loved a small kitchenette for the option to prepare basic meals. I knew this hostel did not have kitchens so it was fine that they didn't, but I think lots of people would appreciate some kitchen with maybe a hotplate or microwave. Another thing that might be nice is air conditioning in the dorms--although the small personal fans in each bunk definitely helped with the heat.

Very thankful for the 24 hour reception especially when I had to drop off my bags between check-out and going to the airport. This makes Black Llama super flexible with things like awkward check-in/check-out times and other coordination with guests. Nightly events made things more fun and led to me making a good friend so it definitely works as a social hostel, yet sounds from events did not carry down to the dorms so sleep was easy. Complimentary breakfast also a big benefit, as was the enourmous size of the lockers, which allowed me to store my suitcase and bag standing up. Location a plus as well. Great hostel.

Bed and pillow were both really solid so not particularly comfortable. Also if you have a room facing the street it’s really noisy - we were on the first floor and even with earplugs in you could still hear it all. Our room was directly above an Irish bar and it’s on a busy street of bars - great if you wanna go out drinking though.

As its location is good it is also on a very very busy road and a road with many bars and nightclubs. You should expect people on the road, laughing and shouting to like 4 or 5 in the morning.

I really love the stuff, especially Nadia, Alexa e Dayana, very professional and always ready to give me advice with nice smiles. I also loved the way this hostel is organized (games, night activities at the bar and so on) The breakfast is lovely.

Really bad bathroom situation (2 showers, 2 toilets and 1 sink in tiny room for aprox. 20 people), no kitchen available, can be quite loud during the night as it is located in a really vibrant street, I also missed some areas to chill (besides the rooftop bar and one small couch in the lobby no common area)

Bought a Sim-Card. First it should be unlocked in a few hours, which wasnt the case. Then it should be unlocked the next morning, which wasnt the case. In the afternoon it was finally unlocked. As mobile internet was needed it would have been nice to know exactly when its unlocked. Would we have known before that it takes over 24hours, we would have gone to another place. NOT part of our feedback, just info: Noisy at night, as it is close to a busy street with traffic and music.

Location was great, terrace is lovely, decent sized clean dorms, and the staff are amazing. Nice breakfast... Shout out to Diana, Carlos & Jose Lewis who helped me during and after an unexpected emergency. Huge thanks to you all. Wifi was not stable

The location is very good. Parque del Amor and Parque Kennedy are in walking distance. The bus stop to/from the airport is 2 mins from the hostel. The reception staff is kind and supportive. Breakfast is great. The shower in the room is tiny but is hot and good pressure. Also there is a hairdryer.
