Always ready to serve with a smile, and always ready to go out of the way to treat their guests in the best manner possible! We stayed here for three nights and it felt like home! All the staff were very friendly (especially Fernando who made us amazing cocktails every evening). We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and steam room as well. The room was spacious, tidy and had all the facilities as described. Location was excellent as well, very near the central plaza where there are lots of restaurants and shops. Highly recommend staying at Casa Cartagena!

I was worried about the center fountain light, but it turned out to be cute and romantic.

We loved the history of the building and our room in particular (old chapel/ church room). The spa was AMAZING and loved that it was included with our stay (unlike most hotels and spas in Cusco). The property is small and intimate which feels like you are staying in a castle. 1000% would come back. We also really loved our balcony into the courtyard, very cute.

Great hotel, an oasis in a noisy Cusco. The staff is exceptionnaly friendly without being overbearing. The room was huge, with the giant bed and a great bathroom. They turned on the spa just for me and I had a blast in a hammam by myself with a stunning view on Cusco. The breakfast was rich, with a large variety of choices.

It is on a narrow road that our trekking van couldn’t access, but we worked around it with a smaller car. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Loved everything about our stay here!! Loaded with amenities and unexpected pleasant surprises that honestly give Four Seasons a run for their money. Amazing room! Attentive staff, pool size jacuzzi in the spa area with plush towels, comfortable ergonomic lounge chairs, and herbal iced teas served poolside. Complimentary pisco sour at check in. Dinner was fantastic. Tea, treats and personalized notes in our suite. Beautiful veranda overlooking manicured grounds. Love this place!!

The staff was amazing . Mani at the bar was incredible. Best Pisco Sours in Peru. Everything was great and we would definitely go back to stay at Casa Cartagena while in Cusco.

The steam room doesn’t always work fully, could do with some servicing.

Everything was top notch, the staff, the rooms, the quiet, the breakfast, the room service, the spa (jacuzzi pool with sauna room and small gym) services are free to use unlike similar hotels in the area.

I enjoyed the contemporary decor and the service was excellent. Tea and cookies on arrival and then each evening cocktails were served they always seemed to know where we were. One evening they even turned up at the spa. I thought the breakfast selection was one of the best I have ever had.

The exterior of the building is a historic structure, but the interior is modern and very clean. The rooms and common areas were very clean. The hospitality of the staff was excellent. We checked out and left our luggage at the hotel and went to Rainbow Mountain. We came back covered in sand and they allowed us to use the showers in the common area. This was very helpful as we were supposed to fly straight to the plane.

Everything! Location was right at the heart of the town square. Walkable to everything, but once you walked into the courtyard, you felt secluded, and it was quiet. The owners were there and were the greatest hosts. All the staff was so accommodating and the rooms were perfect. Oh, and you get treated to a Pisco Sour sampling! Perfect experience, and this is the place you must stay at when in Cusco.

Everything was perfect

Excellent location. This place is a gem. Their facilities clean and beautiful. The staff was amazingly attentive. The breakfast was first class and they’ll cook a la carte as you prefer. I came back to this hotel sick from food poisoning at another hotel and when they learned this, they made sure that I got tea and Gatorade that literally revived me. I’m beyond grateful for their amazing attention.

Nothing, everything surpassed my expectations

The hotel is stunning, the location is perfect, the breakfast is amazing and the staff are fabulous, I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are wonderful and service is exceptional, so friendly and welcoming, a special mention to Mani, who was wonderful - went above and beyond for us. He knew we were doing the Inca trail and had a breakfast packed up for us to take with as we were leaving at 3am and on return, knowing we would be exhausted, we were upgraded to a beautiful suite. On check out he offered to pack us up a lunch to go also, he was amazing and an absolute pleasure to meet.
