Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe property isn't in town, but it's not an issue. Everything you need is at Casa de la Chola.
The property doesn't look like much from the road, but inside it's an oasis. We opted for dinner, and it didn't disappoint. The room and bathroom were spacious. If you want to relax on the property you can do that outside, or in two beautiful "living rooms", one of which has two completely glass exterior walls. Tony is a gracious host. recommended.

United StatesI struggle to find a negative. If you want to be in town, this isn't it. That was a positive for us but could be a negative for others.
We spent ten days in the Sacred Valley, and two days at Casa de La Chola. This was our favorite venue. Tony is an exceptional host and the site is exceptional. We traveled with friends starting in Pisac, and working our way down the Sacred Valley. If we were to plan our trip again, we would spend more time here and use it as a base to explore the many things to see and do in the area. MP is incredible but its popularity makes it less attractive to the many other ruins to explore in the Valley.

PeruEverything was exceptional, I particularly loved the food.
I loved so many things about La Casa de la Chola; the ambiance, the nature, the delicious food! It feels like you are staying in Tony's house and he is the absolute best host.

United StatesThe most charming of all the places we stayed. The room was lovely, the grounds were perfect. Chef/host Tony was superb. We had some of the best pizza, wine, and breakfast all perfectly prepared fresh. The pizzas were prepped, made and served right in-front of you. Cant say enough about this place. Dont miss it on your way to wherever you're going.

United StatesYou do need to take a taxi in and out Ollantaytambo but we knew this when we booked the room. But just to note for people who might not realize this.
We stayed at La Chola at the end of our travels so we wanted to stay somewhere outside of town to relax a bit. The property and room was perfect. We stayed in Room 4 and the view of the backyard was so wonderful to wake up to. The bed was very comfortable and the warm shower was great after a long day. But the pizza dinner and the grilled chicken dinner the next night was by far the highlight of our entire time in Lima. Plus, the Chola has 4 king bedrooms with plenty of spaces to gather. It would be a perfect spot to rent the whole space for your group. Our stay was very affordable.

United StatesThe location was outside of town about 15 minutes. But we were there on a Wednesday night and it was pizza night so we had no reason to venture back to town.
It was a stunningly beautiful piece of property with rolling grassy areas to sit outside, lovely dining room with an atrium enclosure, huge king size bed and One of the best showers I’ve had in Peru. It was the best pizza that we had in three weeks traveling around Peru. Ask for pizza night!

United StatesNothing. The location was perfect and the price was excellent. You can't go wrong.
Casa de La Chola was a divine location in the heart of the Sacred Valley of Peru. Nestled away in an idyllic setting, you'll feel completely at peace in this wonderful locale. The owner, Tony, was excellent and extremely helpful to us throughout the length of our stay. Always ready to help answer questions and suggest itineraries to help explore the surrounding area. He is also an exceptional cook with excellent breakfasts and delicious pizza nights with fresh coal-fired pizza prepared on demand. Highly recommended to anyone who wants an amazing home base to explore the Sacred Valley.

United StatesNothing.
Everything! This place is paradise! The owner made us a pizza from scratch. The breakfast was delicious. The location is next to the mountains, so remote and so peaceful… every detail is so thoughtful! We left our luggages for two days in this property while traveling to Machu Picchu. The owner provided us with the heater. The rooms are big with traditional interior. The bedding sheets and towels smell fresh. We felt like we won a lottery ticket

AustraliaCasa de La Chola is an exceptional stay in the Sacred Valley. It’s out of town but you can use a collectivo or private driver to easily explore the region. The place is well set out to relax, with amazing views from the garden and comfortable facilities. Tony is a great host - very responsive and accommodating - but a particularly great chef. We rated our dinners here as some of the best food on our South American trip.

SwitzerlandTony was extremely attentive and flexible. The room was luxurious and had a very large, comfortable bed and warm shower; perfect to relax after a hike through the Inca trail! The property is large and peaceful. It is shared with adorable and friendly pets (cat and dog). The homemade pizza that came straight from the woodfire oven was exceptional. There is also a great local brewery a short walk away. We would highly recommend anyone to stay there. One of the best places we have stayed! Thank you!
