The description of the room says soundproofing. What a lie! You can hear absolutely everything from the outside, people walking in the stairs, coming and going, talking in the garden, people doing it in their rooms… Poor breakfast included, just two pieces of bread, tea and coffee. No eggs, fruit or juice.

Great location, very nice owners and staff, competitive price with private bathroom.

I miss holder of soap in the shower.

Owners of house are great and hospitable family, we felt warmly welcomed. Great location on San Blas, near of everything. House itself is old rustical building with beautiful green patio and wooden balcony. Comfortable bed, hot water, calm neighborhood - everything what we need for our stay.

I couldn't sleep much at all, because there were people staying upstairs and the floors creak loudly above the room. Very loud. I could hear the people talking at night through the walls and outside my door. I had to get a flight in the morning, so it was not ideal. The shower had no hot water. I could not shower. Request an upstairs room if you stay here.

Lovely family, beautiful hostel. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean.

The shower temperature wasn’t great. we only showered in the evenings and early mornings so maybe this had a part to play?

The pictures don’t do it justice. The rooms are much better looking than the photos suggest (I forgot to take photos!). We used the hostel just to do a couple more days exploring the city and the location was great for it! It’s a 5/10 minute walk to the centre and has lots of nice restaurants and shops around it for convenience!

The lighting in the room could have been better, but again, I was rarely in the room so it didn't really impact my stay

The staff and family were so friendly and helpful, even with my terrible Spanish! Very central location and although the room is basic, it is so comfy and there is so much to do nearby you are only sleeping there! Great bed and pillows. Thanks for helping with my luggage drama 😊

BUT because of logistic problems we have been moved in another hostel which was narrow, cold and whithout a proper ceiling (just a thin styropor panel to cover a big hole in the ceiling).

The owner and the employees were very nice. Hot water and an additional heater.

Room was pretty cold and the shower was only luke warm. Also, the rooms aren't sound proof so you hear everyone that comes and goes past your room at all hours.

Be prepared for a lot of narrow streets and stairs to get anywhere in Cusco.

The location is excellent, very close to the main square, shopping, and restaurants. There is a small burger and milkshake stand just around the corner that is very good, and cheap! The manager and his family were wonderful, they were very patient with our limited Spanish speaking skills.

That the rooms aren't sound proof, and sometimes they had people sitting in the common area being a little loud.

This was perfect and great, especially for the price paid. The location is great. Dont expect much for breakfast, it is tasty, but it is just coffee and bread and jam.

It was unhygienic, the room was never cleaned over five days, including the toilet paper basket, which we had to take down ourselves on the third day, it was obvious the staff were irritated by our actions, not seeing what the issue was. The two staff we had most interactions with were immature and unfriendly, two other staff were professional. I don’t like to have to have my breakfast shared with cats bouncing on the table. Breakfast was bread (not always daily fresh) and jam, but it was a low cost accomodation. It was a daily event to have the immature staff watching my wife and I and giggling behind hands over their mouths, we even had them looking at us through our bedroom window smirking and giggling, the stay was uncomfortable in more ways than one. They alsotried to charge 8 soles s kg for washing, we paid 3 soles outside.

The last night the owner got drunk and played loud music until 3am. But while the owner was drinking the wife was very helpful.

lack of english made the comunication with the host quite difficult. Rooms were dark and small , bathrooms low grade (comparing other accomodations we found in Peru). No dining room and kitchen (while advertised on booking.com)

Not very good access for old and disabled people, because you must upstairs a long time. And it is complex to find location on maps.

Reception works 24/7. Staff is very polite and ready to help. Good value for money.

Location was perfect - 5/10 mins into the main square + a really quite area but plenty of places to eat and explore on the door step. The family who run it are brilliant. Couldn't help enough.

Nothing all was great

Fantastic host who did everything possible to make me happy... Arrenged tours.. Woke up earlt to give me a breakfast when I had a tour. Did everything with a smile
