Location is slightly (4-5 blocks) off the tourist district. For seasoned travelers we’ll within our comfort zone to walk at night.

Immaculately clean. The staff was incredibly attentive and warm. The breakfast was individually made: fresh fruit, quinoa cereal with yogurt, Andean bread with jam, fresh juice, eggs to order, coca tea and fresh coffee. Lovely service compared to minimal buffets elsewhere. Bed’s comfortable and shower with good pressure and hot water. Great value.

Great stay, staff was very friendly, they have cameras felt safe at all times. Hot water a plus, they cleaned my room every day nicely done, breakfast (fruits, bread, cheese, jam, egg, yogurt, orange juice, coffee, tea). Close to restaurants, markets, money exchange, Main Plaza de Armas. Available pick up and drop off to the airport for a fee. I used the taxi service, they were on time for pick up and drop off, waited for me with a signed with my name on it. Overall I was very pleased with my stay.

Nothing, it was honestly great in all aspects.

The staff were excellent and the rooms were spacious and clean with working hot water. The breakfast is great and they provide complimentary tea in the foyer of every level 24/7. We were able to store our luggage free of charge for 2 days whilst we went on the jungle trek to Machu Picchu. We don’t speak any Spanish and had no issues communicating with the staff.

Great location, near de Plaza. Breakfast was very hood, and when we had early day trips they prepared a luchbox for us. The staff was amazing and everything exceeded my expectations. The bed was huge and very comfortable . They helped us with taxi, booking our day trips and everything went smoothly. Our bags stayed at the hotel when we left for a couple of days and we did not have any problems, in fact we were surprised to arrive late and find our bags already in the room!

Rooms on the small side, climbing the 4th floor in Cusco can be a challenge.

The only downside is the location, which is just 10 min walking from the Plaza de Armas. But the last 4 blocks to the hotel do not feel very safe, it gets a bit lonely at night. After the second night we just started taking Ubers in and out which costed only like $2. If you’re traveling alone or a couple then this is probably the best option.

Our stay was very comfortable and the service was outstanding. The ladies at the reception were super nice and always prepared “To-Go” breakfasts every day that our tours started very early. The decor is beautiful, you definitely feel the attention to detail. Also, this is a family owned business so it’s nice to support small businesses.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They provide a map and tell you where to find some of the common things that tourists are looking for. Need a money changer, restaurant, or a place to buy souvenirs? They'll let you know the best place to go. They also provided us with a sack breakfast when we were leaving early for a tour. Awesome customer service!

The breakfast was small but decent. I would suggest if you want a larger more traditional Peruvian breakfast look for breakfast places near the plaza de Armas. The staff was extremely helpful, nearly everyone had a great understanding of English and were helpful in my attempts to converse in Spanish. The rooms were small but comfortable providing a TV with Netflix installed and had an account to use. We stayed there for a total of 5 nights before our Salkantay Trek and it was a pleasant place.

I really can’t think of anything !!!

The staff was so genuine and gracious, and helped us with every little detail down to an extra pillowcase if we needed it . Our bedroom for three people was perfect and simple.

The bed was a little hard for my liking.

Loved the staff, breakfast and decor! It was an easy walk to town square and to the San Pedro market. The staff were up and helping everyone for their tours at 4am and even provided a packed breakfast!

The shower drain doesn't drain fast enough.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. The location was perfect because it is close to the city center to enjoy but not to close that we ended the night away from too much noise.

We LOVED our stay at Casa Matara. My husband and I stayed here for a total of 6 nights, and it really felt like home. The staff is so kind and go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. Comfy beds, hot showers, and they even have Netflix on the TV. 100% recommend!

Very easy to hear your neighbors so if a light sleeper could be hard. We were all exhausted so fell asleep easily.

Check in was easy, we needed a place for 1 night that would fit three and be close to center of city. It worked. Breakfast was wonderful. Would stay here again.
