How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It’s not exactly in the main touristy area of Cusco. It is walkable to the Plaza de Armas but the path to go there was not the most comfortable street that you want to walk in as you will pass the main streets of Cusco, which is full of cars and a little bit of pollution. Uber, as an alternative, is very cheap tho!
Property was clean especially the bathroom, it looks new and modern. The building itself is very homey and unique. Bed was also VERY comfortable, which is a huge plus point considering all the outdoor activities and hiking that you will be having in Cusco. Breakfast was great especially the pancakes. We were late for breakfast because we had a tiring night the other day, but they were kind enough to still serve us breakfast.

I wish the Air conditioning unit was better, but it was not bad.

The toilet window does not really close. It's more like an adjustable shutter, and the toilet is oriented into the hotel saloon, so you do not rally have complete sound privacy.
The Hotel is really nice, the style of the interior, the rooms and the food are great. It's location is also very good, 10 min walking from the center and 5 min walking from Wanchaq station, where you can get the Perú Trail train or bus to Machu Picchu! Very much recommend.

It’s a super cozy place with really friendly staff who are there to help with anything. The hot water in the bathroom wasn’t working and it was fixed almost immediately. I had to spend some time working and there’s plenty of cozy lounges. Breakfast was great too.

It‘s not in the center of cusco, you might feel a little left out of the heart of the beautiful village but it‘s a nice place to stay at, had 24/7 service and in general a great service! Room was clean and comfortable

No complaints, we enjoyed our stay.
Very nice room with comfortable bed and huge bathroom. Staff was helpful and allowed us to store our extra luggage until our return from Machu Picchu. Good location just a few blocks from the bus/train station.

Only suggestion would be the provision of drinking water for guests (I wasn’t made aware that this was available).
Helpful and friendly staff who stored baggage whilst I was away on a trek. Very helpful in organising taxis to the airport. Great breakfast and coffee.

Some of the bathroom lack a hook to hang towels or clothes. Will be nice if they can add it in.
The staff at this hotel are by far the most friendly and helpful. They often go out of their way to help us with directions, suggestions, luggage storage etc. the property is also in a quiet location so that we can get good night of rest while staying there. The room Is very clean and they do a good job tidying it up on daily basis.

Clean beds, bathroom, towels, etc. Spacious room but not too big. Felt very comfortable in my room. Bed was also really good! The staff made sure that I felt ‘home’ and provided great guest service. For example, they made sure that I could enter my room at my arrival in the early morning. Also, they provided me with a breakfast meal, despite that I couldn’t attend breakfast hour since I have to leave the hotel before. Proving they are going the extra mile to deliver a great guest experience.

Because Cusco is such a launch pad for day trips and many of them leave VERY early 4:30 a.m even, it may be good to post a couple of friendly signs in the hallway to please keep the noise down in the halls. You could hear people walking and talking easily as they passed your room on first floor.
The Breakfast was So delicious and very accommodating with an early start time.

it is a 10min walk from centre of town which we liked as our room was quiet and peaceful but if you have mobility issues this may be a consideration.
