Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Zuzan is an amazing host who cared for me and made it possible to stay in my room longer than planned when I fell ill. She made sure I got everything I needed. The room is good with its own bathroom, everything is clean. Only 10-15 min to walk to the centre of Cusco

A stay here is like being a part of the guesthouse proprietors extended family. Expect to dine at desayuno with other guests in the living/dining area. Nice warm blankets will keep you sleeping warm in the Andean mountains.

New ZealandWe were concerned about the wifi but it was good enough for my partner to work comfortably 95% of the time and her video calls not have many problems. It could be better but overall it was decent
We spent 3 weeks here on 3 separate stays and we loved it. The host Zuzan was super friendly and welcoming. The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was pretty decent as well. She let us leave our bags there while we went to the Amazon and Machu Picchu. No complaints with our stay here, it's great value.

Very lovely property, the family living here is charming, and the neighbours are so nice too!! Good area, quiet and laid back, short walk into the city Centre. We were able to park our van in front of the property for 5 nights without any issue.

GermanySuch an amazing quiet place to restore for new adventures. The lovely owner, Zuzan, made me a special tea when I was sick. I could do my laundry here. She was happy to accomodate me again after the Salkantay Trek and after three days in the Sacred Valley and stored my bagpack safely during my absence. Breakfast was cute, the balcony pretty, Wifi good, dogs lovely, beds comfortable. Bus to town is 1 Sol and takes 5-10 minutes.

I had the most magical Christmas at Casa Salkantay. The owner, Suzi is amazing. She invited me and other B&B guests to join with her family in celebrations. This created an absolutely magical atmosphere. We danced, ate, drank, enjoyed fireworks and even received a small gift from her! I will never forget this Christmas and a beautiful person that is Zsusi. I really liked it's a quiet place. The room was clean and spacious. Bed comfortable and bathroom had hot water. Internet was also pretty good. Also the laundry services that are offered are at a more reasonable price than most places. What else can one ask for? Brilliant place I would definitely recommend and I will most likely be back in. Thank you Suzi!

United StatesThere were minor plumbing issues that I needed to adjust to but overall for the price, it's understandable.
The owner, Zuzan, was helpful and kind. She made the best breakfast out of all the hotels I've stayed at in Peru. We communicated via translator app and she understood my needs immediately. Her house is located close to the city and offers a quiet rest at night. I was able to walk to San Pedro market within 10 minutes in the morning.

The room and facilities were very clean. The breakfast was very nice. Zuzan was very helpful, for instance I had to leave the hostel before 7am for a tour so she made my breakfast beforehand. Also I needed to get to the bus station very quickly so her husband dropped me off straightaway.

United KingdomOnly downside was shower (no hot water and had to shower in a different bedroom to have hot water) and the VERY thin curtains that let light at 6am and woke me up. Would stay here again though, very good value and lovely host.
Lovely host, included breakfast (the host even made me breakfast after hours because she knew I was tired and wanted to sleep in), cute little bedroom. It is a bit far from the centre (although this is all relative as Cusco is very small - approx 15/20 minute walk).
