Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe walls are very thin. As a result, it is difficult to get a good night's rest.

United KingdomThe only issues were: the stairs up to the were very steep ( no lift); and our second room that faced on to the inner courtyard was quite noisy at night, as restaurants and kitchens also faced it
Very stylish boutique style hotel, approximately 3 minutes from the main square. The rooms (we stayed in two) were very clean and comfortable with huge double beds. The staff were fantastic!

NetherlandsBring your earplugs because it can get very noisy. The hotel is located in an old building surrounded by busy narrow streets. Our room was right above the reception, so we could hear every guest coming and leaving (in the evening, there is even a doorbell that plays a whole tune until the door is unlocked). On top of that, you have all the drivers honking their horns day and night, live music from the bar next door and a mini fridge that sounded like a rocket launcher when plugged in.
Beautiful location with a nice courtyard and clean and nicely decorated rooms. The location is great. It is just a few minutes walking from the main sights. We were doing a multiday hike and could store our luggage there in the meantime.

United KingdomThe second night of our stay, we didn't have running water in the shower and toilet for over an hour which was quite frustrating as we wanted to shower and go to sleep early because we had a very early start the following day for a 4-day trek.
Great location and friendly staff. Very comfy bed and pillows.

SpainThe location and staff spot on.The comfort of the bed as well. There was a leak in the washbasin and the windows of the bedroom needed more cleaning. The breakfast (packed) leaves much to be desired. Bread and granola bar terrible. I advised the first day that I was vegetarian and I got a ham sandwich the second breakfast. Isabel and Gabriel were great, it was my cousins birthday and her bedroom was decorated accordingly which made her day even more special. Thank you so much !!

MexicoAlthough the bathtub was a nice touch, the shape of it made it difficult to take a shower (it was one of those body contouring ones). Also, the place was a touch tricky to find, especially at night because the sinage wasn't lit up and they weren't picking up the line that was listed on Google. They do give you a what's app number upon arrival! Just be aware it is directly across the street from the Marriot.
There was so much to like at this place! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shower was amazing--nice water flow and great temp. If you have travelled at all in Latin America, you know what I am talking about. The breakfast was very nice and passable for the price point and we had the place to ourselves, or at least, it felt like it. We were even able to organize the laundry service next door to leave our clothes for us as we were out traveling all day and were scared we would return after closing. The rooms were also lovely and included a space heater for those cold nights. Location was perfect, just a few blocks walk from the Plaza de Armas and a five minute taxi from Wanchaq station.

SingaporeThe double room had a strong smell emanating from a corner. We think it was a leak.
Wonderful location in the heart of Cusco. Excellent service from the manager and staff. Breakfast was plentiful with freshly cooked eggs or omelette and lots of variety. Our family room was on two levels, beautifully decorated and with super comfy beds. There was coffee and tea available downstairs, self service. We loved the inner courtyard where you can talk and have meals.

Rooms are beautifully furnished. Wonderful location very close to main square. Excellent service by the staff especially Isabel who was wam, welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was a small buffet, with freshly cooked eggs. There is a lovely courtyard in the middle of the hotel which we enjoyed sitting in.

United StatesThe water was not consistently hot in the mornings for showers, though most mornings it was at least good enough. Additionally, the rooms facing the street were a bit loud, especially in the mornings when vans would pick up tour groups.
We would highly recommend Casa Biru to anyone traveling to Cusco! The rooms were nice, the beds were very comfortable, the included daily breakfast was filling, and the staff was always pleasant. We unfortunately had to change our plans last minute, but the staff at Casa Biru was very accommodating and provided us a room at a reasonable price. We also had an unfortunate little mishap during our time in Cusco, but the staff was again very helpful and pleasant. Overall, the staff is extremely professional and the hotel is at a great central local for anyone's visit to the main sites of Cusco.

United KingdomIt was a little chilly and I didn't see any kind of heating controls in my room. To say the place was a little big for just one person isn't really a complaint!
Superbly situated in the historical center of Cusco. A charming, characterful building and a spotlessly clean, spacious apartment, with a huge super-king-sized bed. Isabel and other staff were friendly and helpful: arranging airport transfers, suggesting restaurants, sights to see, making a packed breakfast for my early-morning departure for Machu Picchu. There was coffee and tea available in the courtyard, and a very nice cooked breakfast on my second morning. Wifi connection was good. I loved looking out from my little balcony and seeing the women in their colorful traditional dress, sitting on the steps opposite with baby alpacas!

United StatesThe room we booked was TINY. Barely any space to walk around. So if you're traveling with a suitcase, it's kind of impossible to move around the floor. It's perfect for a quick one or two night stay but I wouldn't want to stay there for a week, unless you booked one of the larger rooms. A bit pricy in my opinion for the size of the room.
Great spot, convenient location, quiet, clean, comfortable room. The staff was great and breakfast was decent.

SingaporeNo windows in room, but during unrest, this meant security and quiet.
Location perfect, very good value. Clean, safe, lots of hot water in shower. Quiet. Large comfy beds. Staff were amazingly responsive and understanding. Due to political unrest which started the day we arrived in Cusco, our travel plans were disrupted. We were able to extend our stay a night at a time at the original booking.com rate, staying in our same family room. This was SO helpful and reassuring. I'm very grateful for the hotel's flexibility. We were fortunate to be at Casa Biru as all this happened. Also has a restaurant on site which was convenient for the evening curfews at this time. They also recommended a good trusted tour agency.
