Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandThe bathroom was a good size but strange, only one per floor, there was a bidet next to the toilet that was full of dirt and the shower is over a bath tub. Otherwise the water pressure and water temperature were fine. Our room was street side and very noisy at night.
Had a great common area and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook your own meals. The location was great for sight seeing, restaurants and bars plus a large grocery store just down the road.

GermanyBreakfast buffet was below average (liked much more the concept of Selina Posada Miraflores just a few metres away), toilet inside of my dorm was not fully closed of (very uncomfortable for everyone due to smell and noise)
Really nice hostel, big building with a lot of places to sit down & chill, bar & small restaurant included, great for digital nomads - really liked the atmosphere in the café / lobby

United KingdomThe large dorm bathroom could use a more frequent cleaning considering a lot of people are using it.
Comfortable beds with your own shelf, light, power outlet and curtain. Large, well equipped shared kitchen. Lots of comfortable common areas to work or relax

RomaniaNot all staff speaks good English. Sometimes we had to speak 2 or 3 times with different people until we managed to solve what we wanted to solve because of the language barrier. Overall the rooms are nice, but a little overpriced for what they offer. It is clear that they need some maintenance (example the paint on the bathtub was chipped, some surfaces cracked, windows not wiped). They are also very noisy, as Lima is a noisy city and the windows are thin. But I suppose this is quite common. Use earplugs if you are a light sleeper. They tend to ask extra money for almost anything you need besides your actual room, and all prices are in USD :) it is, overall, quite expensive for what it offers.
The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The bed is super comfortable & it helped that we had a fridge. For us it was a good place to return to freshen up between exploring different areas of Peru. The hotel is well positioned in the Miraflores district, close to supermarket, ATM, phone company and lots of restaurants with delicious food & great coffee shops, although they also have one onsite. The breakfast is decent in options and it runs until quite late. They also provide a breakfast box option if you have to leave very early, which is great considering flights and most tours run very early (pre 7AM).

SwitzerlandThe room didn't have AC so we had to open the window during the night to let some cool air in but our room was facing the street and it was very loud... In other words we didn't sleep well.
They have lots of things to do and the vibe is cool. The breakfast was really good and the location was perfect.

United StatesMy biggest drawback was the A/C. This time of year, Lima is very hot. Some nights, the A/C was blowing hot air and made it uncomfortable to sleep. I did speak to the technicians and they were providing maintenance to the system. Unfortunately, the A/C kept going out.
Overall, my experience was ok. The staff are friendly. Some friendlier than others. The breakfast was ok. I wish they had more options and juices, but I was able to drink a lot of coffee. Next to the reception area, you can book trips. I enjoyed that very much. They also have a wonderful security team 24/7. Very friendly and helpful. Checkout was extremely easy. They took my key and room number and that was it. No questions, no hassle. Thinking back, it was different from all of the other checkout experiences at different hotels. The hotel is in walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. There is also a supermarket across the street. Oh, some of the workers who run the cafe inside the hotel are exceptional. Hard workers, friendly, and always smile and laugh.

United StatesStaff are not specially friendly. I had to give my residence card to get a towel, instead of my ID. They said that my document (ID) was no valid for that purpose. First time that occurred me. I was wondering if that happened because I'm peruvian-american. American citizens have to give their American passport just for a towel? So strange. another one: in shared rooms the bathroom don't have a proper door, just a curtain that separate the beds from the toilet (!?)
The location is good
