How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Always a smile on their faces and happy to help, no matter what time it is. Breakfast was brought to the room and everyday something different. Comfortable beds en clean bathrooms. We stayed here twice and would stay here again.

A little bit of noise from other rooms and guests talking on the corridors/stairs. Breakfast could have more options. Maybe a way to select different things.
The location was nice. Close to downtown but a bit far and quiet. Very nice staff (Cintia, Isabela, and Elisabeth) always glad to help, give information, very attentive. Always coca tea available at reception. Simple breakfast. Room at good size. Hot showers.

Just the Wi-Fi could be a bit better but you are not there to binge watch movies, enjoy Cusco!
The place is very comfortable and clean. The rooms are great. It is close to city center and you can walk to restaurants and shops in minutes. The best about the hotel is the staff - they are super nice and attentive. They make sure your check-in goes smoothly and you get good breakfast delivered to your room at what time you want. If there is anything you need they will help right away! I had to go to the ER and felt very crappy the next day. I was supposed to check out at 10am but they let me do a later check out and sleep to recover until 4pm free of charge.

The location is very close to both the bus station for those going to Machu Pichu as well as the main area of the city. The staff are lovely and offer free coca tea at the reception area in case you need it for the altitude. Breakfast is lovely and was delivered to the room at a time that suited us, especially when we needed to leave at 6am for the bus/train to Machu Pichu. They also let us store our bags in the hotel while we were in Aguas Calientes for 2 days. A+ experience in a modest hotel.

Is a bit far and uphill from the city center, but nothing too much (15/20min walking from main points)
I really love everything! Suuuper confy beds and room, amazing shower with hot water! Wifi works perfectly!

this is not a criticism I have been to other hotels in Peru, but somehow some of them seem to lack outside windows. this room did have windows, but towards the inside of the building. It did not bother us
the friendliness of the staff. the location is also nice, as it is within waling distance from the centre there are plenty of reseaurants and shops around

The place was beautiful, in a great location away from the busyness but close to the center, the staff went above and beyond in everything they did and it was truly one of the best experiences I had. We felt like family and they were very accommodating with holding our luggage and providing us with breakfast when we had to wake up early at 4am! They also brought us breakfast to our room, had some tea we could drink 24/7, soap towels whatever we needed they were very attentive. It was just overall an incredible experience and we will miss them!

It is about 15 minutes walk to Plaza de Armas so it is not exactly close to where you have to go but the advantage is San Blas is safe

The staff here are lovely and very helpful! The room was clean and the breakfast was amazing. It was kind of them to bring a delicious breakfast to our room, organize our driver, and also they have tea in the common area to help with altitude sickness which was very thoughtful (and helpful!). We had a great stay and cannot fault it at all. Large bathroom, comfy bed, we loved it and would stay again.

Just tepid water in shower.
Staff went out of their way to accommodate a vegan diet and two gluten free diets for breakfast. Location is a nice 15 minute walk from the main square. My husband lost his passport and again the owner was very helpful.
