How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

-very warm, fans help but only if it’s right in front of you and you have a window in your room -Wi-Fi sometimes cut out
-beautiful murals -big common space, room to do workout, yoga, etc -beautiful view of Tarapoto -mostly quiet and easy to sleep at night

Nothing really. Rooftop could be a bit more clean, but it's up to the guests as well to keep it nice. Sharp knives in the kitchen would be useful
Cozy clean rooms and available kitchen (nothing special, but there is all you need), big rooftop with a lot of space for work or training, wifi, friendly staff, great little cafe on the rooftop with good food and fresh juices. After 10 days it felt like home! If i ever stay in Tarapoto again, will choose the same place!

Everything was great. Loved evert single murales. I did have the pleasure to try Davide's lasagna but heard that it is delicious! See you soon!

Very nice place, clean rooms and toilets, big kitchen and a big terrace to hang out, work or exercise. Super tasty vegetarian restaurant on the terrace with a lot of vegan options.

Everything was cool.
Nice place. Good rooftop for work or training. I was very late in tarapoto and the guy was waiting for me.

There wasn’t water to drink available in the kitchen.
Very nice vibes and decoration with murals and paintings. The best part is that it has a gym with the necesary implements to workout.

Great place with friendly staff, good wifi and a beautiful New Year celebration with pizza, wine with fruits inside, and fireworks from the terrace, thanks to the staff who arranged the great celebration

Hot shower last only 2 min maximum. So they re is not really a hot shower .
Comfy room with a fan. Beautiful rooftop. The staff is really nice

The only thing I found missing is they didn’t give me a towel but in their defense I must say I didn’t realize and didn’t ask for it on time... don’t know if it is included or not... that’s my only con... :)
The room was great, people I met were great, top floor was amazing... great place. 100% recommended. Want to come back ASAP for at least a month!! <3

My room had a window which faced an internal courtyard, which meant I had little fresh air circulating plus there wasn't a screen on the window, so I had to shut it at night. My fan was just circulating hot air. It was terrible. Internet isn't stable. There aren't a lot of places to chill out on the terrace. Despite signs saying the kitchen opens early, I had to ring the bell to try to find the receptionist in the morning before my bus (who was sleeping and didn't seem to be bothered that he didn't open up the kitchen). I didn't like the atmosphere at all and didn't find this the friendliest place to meet people. It's a 30 minute walk into town. No assistance in organising tours, like most hostels, the receptionist just gave me a binder to sort out everything myself. One to avoid personally

It was really hot and they did not have aircon only fans. Had a hard time falling asleep in the dorm, then changed to a private room and there it was cooler and easier to sleep.
Chill rooftop terrace and a kitchen to use. Also they offer laundry service. Close to the supermarket and relatively close to the centre.
