You have to get used that the door to outside is always closed and you have to ask the host to open it for you. Not that bad since the host is always reachable.

Probably the best place regarding relation of price/quality. Room and bathroom (hot water) are clean. Breakfast was included!

The place is a bit dated, like nothing has changed in 10 years. I had to pay more because their exchange rate, the one from "the government", is 10% higher than the official one, for me that feels like scam. You have to book breakfast (egg and bread with jam) at a certain time what is not really flexible. You cannot go in or out by yourself.

The place is run by a very friendly couple who are uttermost helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. There is a kitchen and fridge what is really plus in Cusco.

Coco, the owner is as helpful as it gets, the location allows you to experience the more real feel of Cusco with non touristic markets nearby, as well as having the city center in a 15 min walking distance. Although located on a crossroads, the rooms and the entire building are very quiet. I travel a lot and what I look for is safety, a good sleep and trustworthy people for a competitive price. Coco and his wife were absolutely great! Very friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to accommodate us. When we arrived, they thoroughly explained to us what to expect from altitude sickness, made sure we were feeling comfortable, and provided guidance on the best places to visit and what to avoid. The bed was very comfortable as well, and the room was spacious. Definitely recommend Coco's place if visiting Cusco. Short walk to the main square and well located, close to supermarkets and convenience stores

We need to let Coco know each time when leaving and coming back to the hostel for him to open the door for us. Not too much of a hassle though.

Super clean facilities - both the rooms and bathrooms and the kitchen as well. Value for money. Around 10min walk from the main tourist area. Coco and his wife were wonderful hosts. They kept our bags in storage during trips made from Cusco and were always accommodating in our booking requests.

Coco and Annemarie are the best hosts! They take so good care of their guests, are super friendly and helpful, make homemade breakfast and speak English really well. The room was clean with a wonderfully warm shower. Very good value for money! And the location is just short walking distance from the city center. I wil stay there again if I come to Cusco again!

Normally I don't write reviews, but here I would like to make an exception :) I have experience staying in hotels and hostels all over Peru and it's really not usual that for given price you would have a nice clean, bright room with a balcony, excellent shower and fast internet. I have definitely found a place that I will be happy to return to every time I visit Cuzco.

A little bit noisy from the main road, although that could have been my room location. Nothing ear plugs couldn’t fix. Location is a bit further (10-15 minute walk but without hills!) and all in all reasonable and shouldn’t put anyone off.

The hosts make this place what it is - a family run hotel, they’re so wonderful and welcoming, and accommodated my needs, such as putting out breakfast extremely early for me to get my flight. The hotel itself while a bit dated, is clean, the beds fairly comfortable and the wifi strong.

A minor point but towels are extra.

A lovely place with character. great value. The hosts were excellent and helped with everything. They can do laundry and the kitchen is available for guests to use. Fantastic place. And free parking for my motorbike was a real bonus and why I originally booked. 15 minutes walk to the historic centre and location feels safe at night.

The place is very cozy and clean, there is a well equipped kitchen and a common space that is good for working as well, and there is also a very good wifi which is ideal for remote working. The hosts are very nice and helpful, they gave us a lot of advices for our travel plans. To sum up, el Tuco is a very good price to value ratio, it was perfect for us, spent about two weeks there in total.
