Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

UkraineI got charged for a towel. Per day. Location is a bit far from the main attractions. Room is a bit dark, there is just a tiny little window in it.
Spacious room, hot water, steady wifi, tall ceilings, comfortable bed. There is a communal kitchen in the hostel.

PeruHe tried to scam us with the exchange rate. Officialy we had to pay in dollars but its common to pay in PEN but the exchange rate was far from correct so we ended up changing PEN to USD on the streets and even then we saved money. We also needed to give him our keys when we were going out, so he always needed to open the door for us.
We could check in early and leave our luggage when going on a multiday trek

United KingdomWe didn't like that someone came into clean our room without us knowing. I think we should have been asked if we wished for our room to be cleaned. The room was very loud with traffic noise outside. We didn't like that you had to ask to leave/ be let out and hand in your key the hotel every time you want to leave the hotel.
Helpful staff Breakfast was okay- bread and eggs.

IsraelThe hotel is very old , everything is squeaking. The location is not that comfortable and it feels that for what you get, the price is too high. I broke a glass by mistake at breakfast and didn't get a new one with juice and I would have been completely fine with it unless they charged me 7 soles (!) for the glass.
We needed to stay only for one night so it was ok for that, the room was big and the shower had hot water

GermanyThe location was good, within a walking distance (10-15 minutes) to San Pedro market. Great breakfast, which was prepared freshly for me. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They even organized a taxi transport for me to my next destination.

PeruThe check out is 9am. That you need to leave the keys every time you going out and ring the bell every time you going in. Our room was very basic. Sheets were clean but blankets not sure kinda smelly and not very comfortable.
The owner Ana was very kind and nice. The fresh breakfast that they offer. . The location not too far from the main plaza 15-20 min walking distance, the facility to storage your luggage.
