How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Everything was amazing
Property was close to everything , short walk to the cliffs and spectacular views! Came with my young daughters , apts were safe and secure.

Nothing really. Apartment could use some painting, and pictures. particularly in the second bedroom. Our host said that was in the works.
Super safe, large apartment in Miraflores within walking distance of Kennedy park. Host Rick was very nice and accommodating and apartment building staff very friendly greeting us as we entered and left. Having 3 washrooms in the apartment was great and nice to have TVs with channels in English.

Great to have an apartment in such a convenient location with space to relax after traveling for 3 weeks. Short flat walk to the coastal boardwalk and lots of restaurants nearby

Nothing - it’s a great choice!
I loved the location, the facilities of two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining area and a living room was very comfortable. The host is very friendly and helpful and they even left adapters for me to use. They also accommodated an early check in after a long haul flight which was very appreciated! It is beside lovely restaurants and in a nice, safe area. The beach is a nice walk and Parque Kennedy is nearby. The building is modern and safe and has a security desk as you enter the property. There is two police forces who patrol the area to keep tourists safe and as a single female traveller I felt very safe!

Provide a list of good restaurants nearby. Area map with points of interests nearby. Some basic spices, oil for cooking. Floor mats for kitchen, bathroom. Towels to clean countertops of bathroom after using sink.
Convenient location, everything in 5 to 15 minutes walking. Full kitchen appliances and utensils. Nice hosts.

The air conditioning unit was rather noisy which we resolved with ear plugs. I would recommend packing ear plugs either way as the surrounding street and apartments can be noisy if you have the windows open (particularly if you are a light sleeper).
A very secure building with very friendly staff. The apartment had everything we needed and was comfortable for our 7 day stay. The location was very central in a nice and safe district close to a fantastic supermarket and many restaurants.

Preparatory procedures are a bit cumbersome, requiring the upload of passport information, a cash deposit to be paid on arrival in addition to advance payment in full. Only one key was provided, which was a challenge for three persons with different schedules, as the elevators needed the key to work. The pillows were uncomfortably large, but that got remedied before the second night.
Nice, comfortable apartment in a good location and safe neighborhood. Very attentive host, who did his best to accommodate special requests.

These apartments are located in the heart of Miraflores. There are lots of restaurants near by as well as several parks. The beach is not far and very nice to walk along. You can also watch surfers catch the waves. It was difficult to get in and out of the shower - nothing to hold on to - but other than that, my apartment was comfortable.

The location is good besides lying on the J. Pardo Street is a bit noisy, even with closed windows
Very nice, diligent, and helpful owner. They even helped us out with soap to wash our clouth. The department was clean and well decorated

It was freezing cold, smelt of damp, really noisy (constant car horns and traffic noise) and none of the windows or doors actually locked (not great for my sleepwalking child) plus to block outside noise. It actually sounded as if we were outside!
Easy check in, location of apartment was walkable to many attractions and supermarkets, restaurants etc
