Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

HungarySmelly, dark room with pigeons living right above the ceiling (they were active all night). From the bedsheets and curtains to the bathroom - everything was massively dirty. According to the description of the room I should have had a refrigerator, but I didn't have. The host doesn't speak any English, but seems to communicate very impatiently with the guests.
Good location and mostly strong WIFI signal.

PeruWhere do I begin??? The bathroom had zero basic toiletries. Every single semi- decent hotel in the world places these basic things in their bathroom. To have some soap, I had to ask for it twice. There was no hot water whatsoever. When I asked about it, been told the system is broken. But I just noticed another reviewer complaining of the same thing in 2019!!!!! So, if since 2019 you can't fix your hot water system, then get out of the business! Or, disclose in your ad that your place has no hot water! Another thing the hotel lacks in informing potential customers is that there is no breakfast available on Sundays! When I booked, I relied on having breakfast there. Well, it was not meant to be, lol! Although at the time of the booking it looked like that there's an airport shuttle available, well, there is not... Disappointing to say the least. I asked the lady (Olympia) for a bucket of hot water to wash my hair, but she kept brushing me off, telling me that I have to wait until the lady who works in the kitchen comes, not knowing her son informed me the day before that there is no one working in the kitchen on Sundays (hence the lack of Sunday breakfast). Therefore I knew she just wanted to get rid of me. When I insisted, she said she has no keys from the kitchen area. But she's the owner!!! MInd you, she's the one I initially asked for soap and only got it much later when I asked somebody else... Lastly, the place needs clear signage. It was hard to find even by my local driver and despite the fact that I had Waze on telling me I arrived. Overall, a very disappointing experience and I would definitely not recommend this place.

PeruThe only thing I found was with the location, there wasn't a convenience store I could easily/quickly find to buy a bottle of water ~ but if I needed a new pair of glasses, there were dozens of stores around. But I was offered a fresh coconut at the hotel which was amazing. My suggestion to the hotel would be to have some bottles of water on hand to purchase.
They were very kind and welcoming, the rooms were very simple and basic, yet clean and comfortable. Perfect for someone travelling on a budget, not seeking luxury. Also there was no mold, which is something that you would typically find in hotels at that price range in Iquitos.
