Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

United StatesIt was unclear how many rooms and what rooms we had. So I ended up paying more when I would have used another bed so I wasn’t charged. But it wasn’t clear at all. I had asked for a late check out before going and he said yes. Then we left for lunch at 12:30, walked by a lady that was in charge and she said nothing to us. Then an hour later I get a message that check out was at 12:00. AM’s they charged me more for that as well. Very unclear about many things

RomaniaI paid 40 USD and was supposed to get 10 back. That never happened. Also they reported to booking.com that I did not stay, so that they can charge the cancellation fee as well. It would be quite a challenge to get in the building if you arrive late, and do not have a Sim card to contact them. And a SIM at the airport is 60 USD. Would be a nice stay for a connecting flight but for 5 USD you can go to Miraflores area and get a room for 45 USD and the conditions cannot compare. The choice is yours.

Excellent location right next to the airport. Clean and the hosts are very flexible and welcoming. Clean with nice amenities (coffee, tea, ect). We felt secure walking from the apartment to the airport.

United StatesThe noise throughout the whole day and especially through the night was absolutely unacceptable. I don't know where the noise was coming from but it was terrible, I kept getting woken up. The window in my room didn't go to the outside, it went to the stairs of the house. Initially, it was open so I had to smell all the food that was being cooked, and after closing it, there was zero ventilation. That window had no shades, so the light from outside came inside at night, really bad. This is probably THE worst sleep I've had at any accommodation due to noise. Dogs barking every time anyone rings the doorbell (which is the only way to get into the accommodation), and there's noise and people talking and yelling sometimes. Would not recommend at all. If they can't control the amount of noise in the house, they can't make their house accommodation for others. So ridiculous.
Made a last-minute booking to stay here, showed up about an hour after I booked it, had to wait a bit for my room to be cleaned which was fine since I showed up before check-in time, was happy to be able to check-in early. Close to the airport, within walking distance. Common area was super nice and big, had filtered drinking water too. Room was big, bathroom was modern.

Excellent location. Very well appointed apartment with big rooms, massive comfy beds and a good WiFi connection. Only 7 minutes walk from the airport and the staff were incredible, especially accommodating given our very late arrival.
