How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The barking street dogs, but to be fair, it’s probably random, may not always be an issue. All quiet by 10:00pm so we got an excellent sleep.

Breakfast was good, but could to be included some fruits or jogurt, not so much bread.
Location is excellent if you need to get in the airport in the morning! Only 10 minutes and you are in airport. Less than 10 minutes to supermarket.

We were very happy with acomodations at this apartment. it was clean and had everything we needed. it was very close to the airport which was exactly what we needed. Elio and his mom are wonderful hosts. we enjoyed our short stay very much - Cellerina cooked breakfast for us which was delicious and great value. Elio speaks perfect Enlgish and is very quick to reply and communicative via What's Up. I highly recommend this place.

Everything was good for us
2nd stay with Elio and family. Elio offers airport pickup if he is not busy with other guests. Accommodation is near the airport so perfect for overnight stay between flights. 10 minutes walk to a wide choice of food and grocery options.

The accommodation was very handy to the airport and the pickup offer great. Only had the one night as flight to Cusco was next day. Will stay again on way back. Super clean room. Elio a great host and his mother's breakfast that is on offer was good.

Nothing bad.
Great location close to the airport. Plenty of places to eat close to the property and there is a grocery store that we walked to in about 5 minutes.

Our room was perfect for two. Very clean and tidy - the bed comfortable as well. Hot shower was nice after a long day. We were able to organise a lift from the airport with the host which was a great relief. We were shown where the local shops were & within walking distance. Would recommend to stay here. It was 10 minutes from the airport which was perfect for us.

Not a critique, but a recommendation: if you are a super light sleeper bring earplugs because you will hear the airplanes taking off.
We only stayed for a few hours to sleep between flights. We were pleased to find a super clean and modern looking room, with everything necessary inside. It is located at a 10 min drive from the Lima Airport, so convenient for transfers.

Once again, these are things I can mention, only according to the type of traveler I am. It could be totally fine for others and it’s only to give a thorough review for other travellers. - The area is quite noisy. It could have been an exception, but I doubt it. Music was playing very loud for most of the day (which I totally don’t mind, actually enjoyed). That being said, it persisted until the evening. So, if you’re an early sleeper, be aware. Once again, can happens everywhere. - Dogs in the street are barking all night long. Nothing else to add here. Just a heads up. - They have very good locks, but they are made of metal and in a way that of you don’t close them carefully, it makes a really loud noise. Obviously, many young travellers aren’t respectful and ended up banging the doors. - Location: could be perfect or totally the opposite. If you have a layover or don’t want to go to Miraflores, then perfect. If you want to visit Miraflores, then it’s very far. Depends of your needs. - Wi-Fi: hit and a miss. Half of the time not working or bad connection. Again, could have been the location of my room. Doesn’t mean it’s like that in all the B&B. A lot of travellers now have SIM card, so might not be an issue. - AC: if you want AC, there’s none. I personally don’t care. When I visited Lima wasn’t hot. And there was a fan. Didn’t use it, but it’s there. Room was very humid though, probably because it was on the ground floor. In the end, a very nice place, but might be missing some essentials for some travellers.
This review is, as all of them, subjective to my personal needs & expectations as a specific type of travellers. I don’t book places based on their appearance, but on policies, staff review & First of all, the host, Elio, is by all means very kind and seems to care deeply about his guests. He’ll do everything in his power to help you or give you information. That’s a big plus. Secondly, the place is really nice and thoughtful: they put little things to make sure you don’t lack anything. The room was very clean, of a good size & was comfortable. There are restaurants, ATM, a supermarket and other things within 5 minutes walk. It’s an average of 10 minutes to the airport I’d say. Elio can pick you up for an extra fee of 35 soles (October 2023). They have breakfast cooked by Elio’s mother for an extra fee. I didn’t take it, but it’s available. There are many mini markets to grab a beer, water or little things within 1-2 minutes walk. Hot water is working and there is good pressure.

Amazing host who speaks english. i wanted somewhere near the airport that was clean and comfortable for a reasonable price and this place more than delivered .. fantastic quality modern room .. large comfortable.. and most of all , the host was incredibly helpful, Elio speaks perfect english and went out of his way to direct me to places to eat and shop and everyhtung.. , and in the morning his father drove me to the airport for a decent fee.. more than happy
