We had a wonderful stay at Hospedaje la anita! Our host was wonderful, really helpful with dinner recommendations and a delicious breakfast. The room was bright and clean and the location is perfect for getting the Cruz Del Sur bus. We would 100% recommend staying here.

Loved having a 3 bedroom 3 bath for the 5 of us. It was huge. I could stay there for a week. The owner was awesome. He met us at the door and even made us breakfast in our kitchen.

Everything was nice, the downside of being close to the Cruz Del Sur station is that house is a bit far from Miraflores. However the host gave us directions on how to go by metro although we chose to walk the 30-45 min to Kennedy Park.

The host was a very nice and informative man not only knowledgable in the area but, as an Engineer, able to speak more broadly about Peru and its multiple climate zones. Had a very informative and interesting conversation with the host who spoke excellent English. The house was located very near the Cruz Del Sur station which was important to us.

We had to pay more than initially agreed (overnight stay + airport taxi), probably because the taxi driver wanted more. Try to agree on that better than we have.

Excellent location if you take Cruz del Sur bus (10 min walk) in a decent neighborhood. Friendly host who speaks good english. Packed us breakfast to go because we had to leave early to catch the bus. Airport transfer can be arranged.

The owner Alvaro is really friendly, helpful and speaks english very well. I arrived at the hostel at around 9 pm and he told me that there was a problem with the plumbing of my room and I had to stay in another apartment, three blocks away, where we had to go in his car. As I was traveling alone this sounded sketchy at best, but it turned out the room was safe, spacy and had the same the facilites provided by the hostel (wifi with good connectivity, private bathroom, hot water...). He also helped me book a taxi from and to the airport, the ride was safe and on time.

La Anita is a very friendly place and i couldn't find anything to complain.

Exeptionally friendly host who can be very much recommended. The "Hostal" with few rooms is cosy and gives the guest the feeling to stay at home. Facilities are very clean. Although not far from large streets, it is fairly quiet. Some restaurants are close but it is not the best location for lively nightlife or to visit a large variety of restaurants. Being in San Isidro it is safe and strolls through the city to more central places in San Isidro can be done easily.

Unfortunately, the whole time, we had a feeling that we were bothering the owners. When we arrived, a girl let us in with a very hostile and annoyed attitude. She showed us our room and the bathroom but since we received only keys from the room itself, she had a hard time to tell us how to get to the house through the gate itself. We wanted to know where we can find the closest ATM, possibly buy a SIM card, but she wasn't even able to help us describe that and the whole time was looking at us like we were wasting her time. Unfortunately, the breakfast was a huge disappointment as well, served by the same lady from whose facial expression was clear that she wasn't really thrilled to get up at 7.30 on Sunday because of us. We received a couple slices of bread, a few slices of ham, instant coffee and juice. Also, the sink in the bathroom is not in a very smart location, making opening the door very troublesome.

The hotel is located very near the bus station so getting there earlier in the morning was very easy and convenient. Both the room and the bathroom were clean. The owner we spoke with via phone was super friendly, helpful and nice, wish the in person experience was the same.

Cleanliness was a bit of an issue. The living room had no TV.

I booked the property and everything was confirmed. I even had a conversation with Ana from the property to arrange airport transfer. On the day of the trip my flight was changed for 2h later so I wrote to them to let them know. Because I was not getting any reply so I called them and they couldn’t find my booking! I was explaining that all was confirmed, that we spoke about the taxi but they didn’t have it in their system. The communication was difficult I felt like they didn’t really know what was going on. If I didn’t call I wouldn’t have a hotel in the middle of the night. Later they offered me alternative accommodation that was clean which was in a different hotel and organized taxi but they didn’t really sound like they were sorry they just asked if I want it or not.

The water pressure was very low. The floor in the room can be cleaned better.

Location close to the bus stops. The owner was kind and very helpfull. It was possible to stay jn the guesthouse untill we had to take the night bus.
