Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThey start breakfast at 7am which is very late for a town like Cusco, where tourist activities start earlier than that: they should at least offer the option of a packed breakfast, but they don’t.

Czech RepublicThere was an incident, but we were able to clarify it with the boss, who was really cooperative. Other than that, the breakfast was not that good, watery jam, avocado and bread.
Great location right next to Saqsaywaman, a few minutes away from the historical center. Nice views on Cusco. There was a really large TV (Like 55" or 65") with Netflix account included (not someone who forgot to log off, but directly from the accomodation). Free tee and coffee, kitchen free to use.

United KingdomIt’s at the top of a hill, but we knew this already so it didn’t bother us at all.
This place has great views of Cusco, the rooms are comfortable, the showers are hot, the staff are really friendly and there is free tea & coffee.

IrelandIt is located on the top of a hill which for most people would be an issue but we didn't mind. The main issue was the breakfast which we felt was very poor as it was simply bread and coffee. This is probably one of the worst breakfasts we have encountered and we ate elsewhere the subsequent mornings. I feel they could offer a little more and given the price there is room to charge a little more to provide a better breakfast.
Really nice rooms which were comfortable and at a very good price. Great views on the city and located in a quiet area.

ColombiaEven though it’s close to the center of Cusco, walking all the way up it’s challenging, also I would suggest then to serve the breakfast earlier, there are tours where you have to leave very early and we didn’t have the chance to have breakfast at the place.
It has an awesome view, it’s very clean and comfy.

United StatesThe breakfast is included in the cost so while I can't really complain, it is the piece that holds the least value for me. I often will get breakfast elsewhere - even if just buying some fruit from the store next door. It can also get cold, but it's Cusco, what do you expect? Some people won't like the steep hike up to this area.
I have stayed here five or six times over two years. The staff is friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They have helped me to navigate multiple travel challenges now. I really enjoy the location - the air is fresher and the forest is close. These are important things for me. I enjoy having access to a semi-natural space. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and look nice. Tell the taxi to take you to Mirador San Chistobal, otherwise they will come from the other direction and you'll be hauling your luggage up a long flight of stairs.

IrelandThe wifi was a bit unreliable at times, particularly in the evenings. It's not the fault of the owner's but there are packs of dogs nearby that bark a lot all night which can be a bit disruptive.
The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The room was big, plenty of blankets and comfy bed. The shower was hot. There was hot water available with coca tea all the time. The walk up is steep but it is very close to Plaza de Armas in a nice area with lots of lovely restaurants nearby. The view from the room was also lovely

The location was fabulous over looking The city, it's only 15 mins to the main square, the property looked amazing and presentable the rooms were comfortable and cosy with Netflix on the TV, nice showers, a nice communal area to relax a restaurant next door, the staff were so kind and accommodating. There was a little shop area at reception to buy water other drinks and snacks the kind lady at reception gave me a little lunch bag to take as I checked out too early and would have missed breakfast. United StatesWhen we first arrived there was no one at the desk to check us in and we had to wait for 3 hours before getting in contact with someone to tell us which room we had so we could grab the keys ourselves. Once we got into the room the room was fine and suited us, however when we wanted to take a shower there was no hot water which after hiking Machu Picchu all you want is a shower with hot water. Later on in that same day we didn’t have any water in general in the bathroom and this continued on for the rest of the stay, no water in our bathroom at all, we asked the for help and there was no resolution to the issue. We ended up using a different rooms bathroom the whole time we stayed there which we got in trouble for by the lady that runs it. The breakfast isn’t suited for big adventure days it’s generally just bread and some jam. Overall if I were to come to Cusco again I would not stay here and the guest service and general services were not up to standard.
The price for 4 people for 3 days was only $60 which is around $15 a person that was the nice aspect about this place.
