Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing to dislike. Super clean and exactly what I needed.
I had the perfect one-night stay here. The room was exactly what I needed and was super comfortable, with its own bathroom, double bed and desk. I had booked a Nazca flight online before arriving and had a mix-up in the morning but the family were super helpful and even rang the company themselves to check where my already very late pickup was. It would have been much easier just booking the flight through these guys as it works out as the same price and you’re supporting local people.

The owner is really friendly and helpful, speaks several languages. Breakfast is served on the patio, which is very pleasant. The owner helps you organise a flight over the lines and is very good at responding to messages.

United KingdomGreat value for money - double bed and en-suite Jaun was an incredibly friendly and helpful host. Took time to get to know guests, speaks 4 languages and was super helpful with booking the key tours. He was very communicative through booking.com app and also via WhatsApp during my stay. I was getting a late bus and was able to arrange a late checkout to keep the room to shower and store bags while I did my day activities

GermanyIt was a little warm in the room but when we asked the very friendly owner gave us a ventilator. You had to be back at the hotel by 23:30 but this did not bother us at all.
We were welcomed very kindly and the owner even spoke a little German to us. He made us feel at home and explained about the area and tours. When ended up arranging a tour for us to go to see the basics lines tower and the Maria Reiche Museum. The room was spacious, had a table and some chairs which we always like. It was clean and comfortable. What stood out to us was the breakfast we added for 18 soles per night. Other than most Peruvian hotels, we got waffles with ice cream and fruit on top of the usual bread and strawberry jam. The scrambled egg was also really good. The location is a few blocks away from the city center but therefore quiet. Walking to the major bus stations (Cruz del Sur or Civa took 11 minutes to walk). We would definitively recommend to stay here if you are going to look at the Nazca lines🙂

THE BESt BED & BREAKFAST WE STAYED IN WHILST TRAVELING IN SOUTH AMERICA. 1) Juan, the host, was amazing. He organised all of our trips, in advance, at the best price we could find anywhere. He also met us at the bus station, helped fix a DISASTER when our busses all got cancelled and dropped us off at the bus at the end. 2) The location is great, just a short walk from the Main Street where there are plenty of places to eat. 3) The Nazca lines were well worth it and Juan got a great price for us plus organised a taxi. It was a huge highlight of the trip. We also went to see the temples in the desert and the aqueducts all in the same day as seeing the lines. AMAZING. 4) The breakfast was lovely and rooms were simple, clean, with lovely hot showers. I couldn’t recommend it more!

SpainMy room on the first floor didn't have an exterior window and was very dark. I wasn't given a receipt after paying and nobody asked for my passport. I had to pay extra for a late checkout so I could wait for my night bus instead of being allowed to wait in a common area.
Very clean, they book tours for you and water is hot. WiFi worked well.

CanadaWe booked Nazca platform viewing tour via the property. It was 70 sols per person and the driver/guide rushed us from place to place. You can hire a taxi and do the tour yourself at your leisure for much less.
Basic, small, clean rooms. (Ask for a fan as the rooms are a bit muggy without.) Nice owner met us at the bus station and speaks fluent English.

United KingdomThe room was a bit warm/stuffy but we requested a fan and was immediately given a stand alone one, to solve the problem! So no drama at all, much appreciative of all their hospitality!
The host Juan was very hospitable, meeting us at the bus station to walk us to the hostel. He gave us lots of useful information and made us feel we could easily ask any questions we had about the surrounding area. The breakfast (pay extra) was absolutely divine! Eggs made how you like, fresh bread rolls, a waffle with ice-cream and fruit, with coffee and fresh orange juice. Why go anywhere else! It was the perfect start to the day being served in their sweet little dining garden. Rooms are very clean, bed extremely comfortable, and shower functioned nice and hot!

IrelandJuan and his partner looked after us like we were one of their own. From coming down to the station to meet us to helping in organising any type of tour in the area. We spoke a lot with him and his passion for running a guest house was clear. His approach resembles that of a more sophisticated classy host more frequently seen in times gone by, or indeed, luxury accommodation. But Juan's place is so modestly priced, that his ability to speak multiple languages and the service he provides, can scarcely be believed. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel at home while staying in Nazca.

United StatesMy only complaint was a neighbor's dog who barked quite a bit but he quited down around 10:30 and it was fine after that.
Perfect for a budget solo traveler. The room was a good size and had a small table, a cupboard, and lots of hooks to organize your things. Juan and his wife were wonderful hosts! So gracious, helpful, and enthusiastic about sharing their town and the Nazca culture. Juan personally greeted me at my bus drop of and arranged for my tour driver to drop me off at my bus pick up halfway through the tour since I didn't have time for the second have. Overall, great experience!

Czech RepublicEveryone in this hostel is very nice and helpful, great arrangement and friendly stuff. They picked us up directly on the bus and we were taken to the accommodation. We had our own nice room with a bathroom and a good breakfast. Juan arranged a beautiful trip for us to see the Nazca lines. It's great that they speak English, which we really appreciated. Overall, the hostel has a pleasant energy, it is safe. We even had the option of late check-out, what was really fine because of our departure at evening to Arequipa. Thank you very much!
