Felt like a true home away from home during my travels there. Great clean facilities and spacious rooms, lots of space for socialising and relaxing, and truly wonderful staff and volunteers. The nicest hostel I've stayed in during my time in Peru.

Great stay at Atma. Loved the varied morning yoga classes. Lovely vibe at the villa & well equipped communal kitchen. Ideal spot close to everything, nice communal chill areas too. Everything you’d want from a hostel is here at Atma.

This was my first experience staying at a hostel. Truly enjoyed it. I had a private room with bathroom and it was very affordable. I felt safe and welcome. The yoga classes are very good, and the tortoise is friendly!

The hostel is really great. Well equipped big kitchen, lots of communal areas where you can hang out and socialize, but also enough more cosy private spaces with hammocks. Dorm was spacious, clean, comfy bed and had curtains on the beds. Only 1 minute away from the ocean and one of the best hostels I have stayed in so far in Peru!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Atma. The owner is kind and the hotel is social. They offer yoga in a nice yoga studio with mats. It's close to the beach and within town. Lots of chill out areas and access to the kitchen.

A prefect place to stay near the beach, location is perfect and Kimberly (volunteer) was very welcoming and informative. There’s yoga sessions if you want them, great facilities. Highly recommend this place.

Really social vibe, lots of people hanging out in the kitchen or shared backyard / balconies. Lovely yoga classes in the morning. Really comfortable and clean private rooms. Super cute pet turtle which roams around. Staff was also really nice and helpful.

Comfortable rooms and super clean communal bathrooms. Lots of communal space to enjoy the morning and sunset, free morning coffee, and great yoga twice a day. A relaxed and friendly hostel done really well!

Kitchen could get a bit crowded

One of my favourite hostels in Latin America. Staff were friendly and helpful, kitchen was well equipped and clean, and there were plenty of hangout spots. You can even keep your towel after checkout for a shower pre-travel!

The showers weren’t always the cleanest, but that happens more often when you share. Maybe I had just bad timing. Be aware that there are guests in the hostel that are staying there for weeks or even months (for work or volunteering). Because of that you see some people busy with their own stuff, not connecting with travellers. This wasn’t a big thing for us, but definately can make a difference.

The friendly host made us feel welcome immediately. We could use the kitchen (good free coffee every morning!) and hammocks while waiting for our room to be ready. We had a clean double bed room with the best bed in Peru so far! There are plenty of shared bathrooms on every floor, never had to wait to use them. All the available information at the reception is very helpfull. And off course try the yoga class that’s offered once or twice a day, from 15 soles!

We wish we could have stayed longer!!!

Atma hostel was great, we stayed in a double room with bathroom and it was super clean and comfortable. It’s located near the beach and centre but it’s really quiet. The staff couldn’t do enough and it was great having a chat in Dutch! We wish the owners all the best! Ps the turtle was mesmerising to watch!

Amazing location, relaxed and social vibe, endless hammocks and spaces to chill with a view of the waves. Quiet area, everything walking distance, including multiple surf beaches! Paul and the whole team were amazing, truely a special hostal and a place you want to keep extending.

I didn't have any issues, but need to write something here so I'll say the yoga class got full fast, so get there early.

Excellent! 1 minute to beach, chill vibes and really well run. Big clean kitchen, filtered water, hot water, comfy beds with lights, plugs, basket. The owner is so helpful,daily yoga classes, a huge cuddly turtle, surf options too. Best hostel in Huanchaco for sure! Stay here but book ahead it is often full!

The kitchen was often messy and very busy. We did have a cockroach and plenty of crickets. Many people stay long term so they already know each other etc.

Lots of lovely communal areas, some with gorgeous views of the sea. Yoga studio/mats available for use. Modern, spacious and comfortable room. Discounts for extended stays.
