Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United KingdomGreat place and great location. Our host, Lise, was incredibly helpful helping us with taxis and tours and she spoke excellent English. The place was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and cosy and the place was well arranged and nicely decorated. Great location in Puno too.

United KingdomWe'd have loved to have stayed longer but we were only in Puno for one night. The only criticism I can think of is that the kitchen could do with a sharper knife and/or vegetable peeler.
The double bed was large and comfortable with comfy pillows and loads of blankets for cold nights, plus a single bed as well. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen, with a kettle so we could make tea and coffee. There were 2 big TVs with Netflix and some board games, and the internet was pretty fast. There is a washer/dryer just outside the door which was great as we had no clean clothes left when we arrived. The shower had hot water, lovely! The pics on Booking are completely accurate, I was really impressed, especially for the price I don't think you'd get any better than this! Liz was a great host and let us sit in another area to use the WiFi for a while after we checked out. Overall I can understand why this place has such good reviews, I would definitely recommend.

EstoniaI reserved a room in this guesthouse for my friends who were travelling to Puno with their daughter. They were absolutely in love with the place and couldn't be happier to stay in this wonderful guesthouse. The female host of the guesthouse provided an outstanding customer service and went above and beyond by organising transportation from and to Juliaca airport. Thanks to her, my friends had a very smooth relaxed experience arriving in Puno. The room itself was spacious and very clean. Excellent cable TV selections and a fast wifi. The hospitality and the hostess's readiness to help with any organisational issue was absolutely 10 stars. Highly recommended for all travellers who value genuine hospitality, honesty and good comfort at excellent prices. It was easy to communicate in English. Would definitely stay in Inca Palace again in the future.
