The views were spectacular, breakfast delicious, bed super comfy and the water pressure in the shower was great! Highly recommend hiking around the property, and going for the horseback riding tour.

The lodge is so beautifully peaceful and the staff are lovely. Our room had fabulous views over the valley and the food is very good. Jose recommended a fantastic circular walk from the property which is highly recommended

Very peaceful location in a beautiful landscape. Safe and convenient parking. The restaurant is good, reasonably cheap and always open. The manager was very attentive and helpful. Very good breakfast. It's a very good base to visit the Colca Canyon. If you do not drive your own car, the manager can arrange several tours for you.

Everything about this property was wonderful! It’s located in a very quiet town in the Colca Canyon. I loved the peacefulness of it. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable x there are individual patios with Mountain views. Great bird watching, hiking and hot springs close by!

Kilawasi Lodge is a lovely tranquil place - we enjoyed a wonderfully comfortable bed, nice bathroom and mountain views. The staff were amazing - we enjoyed dinner by candlelight as their main power was down. They opened breakfast early (5:30 am) as we had to depart by 6am.

The lodge was perfect in a beautiful small village. The grounds were expansive and clean. The rooms were spacious and very clean. We had a beautiful balcony overlooking the fields and hills and river. Very relaxing! The staff was super helpful and kind and the food was delish!

The room was of a no-frills standard: bed, chair, side tables, a clothes rail with hangers, a bathroom. Yet it is listed on Booking as a “junior suite”, which I consider to be marketing hyperbole. It’s a straightforward 3* hotel 431sq ft/40sqm room. To that extent therefore the room did not meet our expectations. At night in July the outside temperature plummets. The room temperature at 3pm when we arrived was 13c, at which point the electric heater was switched on. By 8pm the room temperature was 14c, and remained so all night. The heater was ineffective therefore. We obtained two blankets, and were warm in the bed, but it remained cold in the room and colder still in the bathroom, although happy to report that the shower water was piping hot. So best check that the heater in your room is working, if not make sure to get a blanket.

The breakfast was reasonable, and of standard range and quality. The dining room is well heated, light and spacious, and is used for all meals. All staff with whom we interacted were attentive and offered a good standard of customer service. The hotel manager was helpful and friendly. In the dining room are comfortable armchairs set apart in which to relax before or after having a meal at table. The evening meal (order by menu) was good/very good, for example the chicken soup was flavoursome and of excellent quality. The bed was large (very wide) and very comfortable, with spotlessly clean cotton bed linen. The location of the hotel is good with beautiful views of surrounding mountains. It was quiet, with no noise disturbance during the night.

The room was very cold, even with the space heater working at its maximum. Bring indoor footwear if visiting during the cold season.

Beautiful relaxing place, helpful and friendly staff, located near amazing hot spring sites and a pleasant hike. The food was excellent too and Jose helped with organizing all my activities and transportation since the very beginning of our communication. Would definitely recommend.

We had an amazing stay. Emilio is a fantastic host and made us feel relly comfortable. We liked to have a chat with him and to get some insights about the region, traveling etc. The room was really nicely designed and quiet. The food was one of the best we had in Peru, even the breakfast as well as the Lomo Saltado in the restaurant – yummy.

The view from the hotelroom is amazing! And the staff is so friendly. Everyday the boss asked us about our plans and gave us advice on what to do. There are not many restaurants available in the area, but the diner was perfect in the hotel. As activities, we did condor viewing and a hike of 3 hours.

Beautiful view of the mountains and river valley. from the room. Spacious room and bathroom with a terrace to enjoy the scenery and sun. Good to have the small heater when you’re visiting in wintertime. Loved hiking to the river and ruins in the area. The staff went out of their way to meet our needs.
