The staff is very helpful and friendly, they all can speak English. The travel agent stays all day at front desk helping people to book different tours around Lima. Location is very convenient, there are a lot of good restaurants nearby. The front desk Joel helped us to book a car to airport which is much cheaper than Uber and taxi, he even stayed with us waiting outside of hotel for the ride coming, thank you so much Joel! Highly recommended!

I loved the historical building where the hostel is set. They just opened new bar as well and there were activities for the guests every day. Food tour with Chris at the local market was super fun and front desk guys, especially Joel, was really helpful during my stay :) would definitely come back.

Would have been nice to have some air conditioning, but the room did have a fan.

The hostel has a lot of character and it's in a great location in Barranco. My room was huge too and was a treat for my last 2 nights in Peru. Good bar area and free walking tours also leave from the hostel. I would definitely recommend. Trying to decide on a hostel in Lima felt like a minefield, but you won't be disappointed staying here. Lots of lovely streets to walk around and cafés etc. Ubers are really cheap to Miraflores too. Reception staff were very helpful.

The building is amazing. The rooms, i had a single room, are great, I particularly liked the large paintings in mine. The staff are accommodating and fun. I am older than the average person staying in a hostel. I was made to feel comfortable and welcome.

Everything. The building is just amazing, the beds are super comfy and the rooms are big, the staff are super friendly and it's clean. It's also extremely social and definitely do the food tour with Chris!!!

The staff are amazing at this palace stay and are so hospitable. I had to move rooms and it was ok. I needed help and they did it with a smile. And there's no hidden bank charges, which was refreshing. And yes, it is a former palace...I recommend the walking tours too.

I booked a private room but it did not have air-conditioning only had a fan. This was not clear in the booking and i thought it was strange given the share rooms have air-conditioning. It was also literally right next to the bar, even though I asked for a room further away. If you're a light sleeper, good luck!, because people are walking past late into the morning and it can get quite loud. Those in the share rooms had better experience as was quieter and had air-conditioning.

Location of this hostel is perfect for those wanting to stay in the hipper area of Lima. I loved being able to walk to the nearby restaraunts and cafes and felt very safe as a solo woman. The hostel had a lot of social events which was great fun, met a great group of people which made the experience really memorable.

The owners are super friendly, helpful and easy going. I was late for breakfast first morning and they were kind enough to stil prepare me something. The Hostel has a laundry service which is very convenient. The place is peaceful and very clean. I noticed they cleaned your room on a daily basis which is uncommon in the hostels. The shared accommodation only has 2 beds so you can never be overcrowded. Super close to the center. Just a spot on place to be. Highly recommended.

It has few open-air areas that are large enough to congregate with more than a few people. Those areas were often occupied by smokers. There is a large bar that was closed downstairs and under construction possibly. We thought that it was full of cliquey group travelers who were not interested in meeting new people outside of the friends with whom they came. Not great for solo travelers. Beers were unusually expensive for a hostel.

It is a beautiful old mansion located in a vibrant section of Barannco.

Night One. Great night of rest in a super comfy bed. Night Two. Action, Adventure, BEing a mystic and potentially saving a life. 1 am. I rise from a dream in which I am in a luxury high-rise. I observe a man cleaning up vomit in a washroom. Two seconds later a young man in a hostel bed about 10 feet away from me vomits on himself. Looks like he partied too much. I go reception to report it for the young man's safety. They check on him. They give me a new room after I asked. Unconscious impaired man was barfing and spitting from 1 am to 4:30 am sadly. In 1991, I was at the funeral of my Polish girlfriend Margaret's sister in the Polish mountains after I finished law school in the USA. She returned from a wedding party, drank too much, had an epileptic seizure in the middle of the night and died in her 20s at the foot of her bed with her drunk husband right next to her. She left him and their toddler daughter. Sad story.
