Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesLocation was a little far out for me and wasn’t expecting it to be on such a hilly road. Not easy to walk to main center as the road is very narrow and not good for suitcases. Breakfast was very limited if you have dietary requirements.
Friendly, helpful staff. Radiator in the room, which you will need on those chilly mornings and evenings.

NorwayThe sunrise was at 5am and the curtains were not dark enough, so sleeping after 5 was a bit of a challenge. Not a big deal for us, but the wi-fi the connection was not very stable and not very fast - still good to check emails or check in for the flight.
The service was exceptional - I felt that the personnel does everything (and with a smile) for me to feel me happy. We didn't have a mini-fridge in the room, but they stored our medicines and a small food bag in the kitchen fridge and also filled our water bottles for free. The reception girl always tried to help us with the luggage, which was really nice, but we felt a bit uncomfortable seeing her tries to carry our large suitcases, with which we could deal ourselves. They also agreed to store our luggage for 2 nights we spent in Machu Picchu between two our stays in this hotel, which was really nice as you can't carry huge suitcases on the touristic train. The breakfast selection was not very big, but they always had a hot meal, which was tasty - so we never felt hungry. The location is nice, with great views from the hill over the city, a little quiet street and just a 10-minute walk to the main square. There are also some dining and shopping options nearby.

ColombiaThe (expensive) airport pick-up I had booked through them never showed up and I had to take a random vehicle as no one was answering messages at the hotel. The location is good but walking down C. Recoleta to where most restaurants are gets old fast - particularly if you are tired from hiking. The room had very little space to hang clothes but luckily I was by myself. An alternative protein to scrambled eggs or better cereals would be a welcome addition to the breakfast - again, it was still ok for me.
Great breakfast. My room was comfortable and had a great view. Good, quiet location. Friendly staff.

Czech RepublicI asked for a breakfast package as I was leaving early for a tour, but they didn’t prepare it in the end and I had to rush to eat my breakfast within 2 mins because my tour came to pick me up. Wifi was not working well most of my stay. If people are talking in the patio you can hear every word in your room - however all the guest were very nice and after 10 pm there was almost no noise. Hairdryer was not working.
Close to the city center, friendly stuff, comfortable bed and spatious room. They brought me a warm bottle for the night as the room is a bit cold. You can make tea in your room as well. Spatious shower room and hot water.
