How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

My room had no windows. I like to wake up naturally with the sun. Breakfast is a little bit light, one day is egg, one day is cheese, one day is marmelade,... but you do not have everything everyday. Once itone was no staff on one evening and travelers were ringing for ever at the main door.
The staff is very friendly, they took care of my laundry coz i went on a tour, returning late after laundry opening hours and they got my laundry bag back

A bit difficult to understand the price - a bit off from the Booking price - I was charged. They would not explain and unreachable afterwards.
Not so far from center Place is lovely Breakfast Laundry service available and done quickly

The rooms were very cold (but the blankets on the bed were warm!)
The hosts are wonderful--so caring and helpful. We had altitude sickness for the first couple of days, and our hosts helped us to make coca tea and gave us suggestions for recovering. Our Spanish skills are terrible, but we were able to use Google translate to communicate, and our hosts were patient with us. The location is a short walk to the main square and a short walk to the San Pedro Market. Wonderful stay!

nothing this property was excellent.
the main square is within walking distance as well as many other shops and restaurants. you can also find your way to some nearby attractions such as Saqsaywaman. the staff went above and beyond during my stay and made me feel at home.

They don't do much housekeeping. I guess it could be a good and bad thing. (good because you know nobody will mess with your stuff. )
Its very well kept , clean , comfortable, decent location and the Host was exceptional.. An amazing older lady !! highly recommend.

A little cold during the night.
Excellent stay. The ladies there took so good care of us. Rooms were clean and location was very central. About 10 mins. walk to Plaza de Armas.

the bed was not very soft and the street was a little bit loud. good for a short stay. breakfast was very nice from the ladies but a little bit poor. for our comfty we would have needed more facilities like hair dryer and daily cleaning but for the price it was fair.
the two ladies are wonderful and helped us with all transportation. the room was clean at start. in the morning they prepared sandwiches and coffee. 24 hours reception was nice. location is very good: center can be reached by foot. Price is very fair. the 2 dogs are very sweet. lovely place with the blue color.

We stayed in three places in total during our time in Cusco, this was by far the best. The abuela was so kind so helpful and took time to speak to everyone (even with my broken Spanish) the dogs are adorable. The room was so beautiful, hot shower and great space. We wish we had stayed here for our entire trip

The rooms were cold.
Staff is friendly and helpful. The building is a kind of big colonial house with multiple rooms, terraces and painting in the walls. The breakfast is prepared by its host, Eugenia, that is a lovely person.

We decided to book this property as we seen how many good reviews it had online- in particular the sweetest lady who really goes above and beyond for you. On arrival she was waiting for us at the door to help us in with our luggage. Through the whole duration of our stay she was really helpful booking taxis, giving us directions and she even took our clothes to and from a laundrette for us. We had a trip to Machu Picchu booked at 4am- she actually got up at this time too to make sure our lift arrived. Good clean room with tv & wifi - good value for money.
