Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicIn the area is a nice pool and you want to enjoy it, it's also one of the reasons, why you choose a camp with a pool in such a hot weather, but there were many people from outside (not housed in the camp), so the pool area was overcrowded and very noisy and no more place to sit in the shadow for us... The personal doesn't speak any basic english. And I don't recommend to wash your clothes there.;)
This camp is situated next to the jungle, the area is beautiful, with many trees and birds, an ideal place to relax. We had our own bungallow with a bathroom. Communication with the owner was great. The pool was also good. And they prepared us a veggie alternative for a dinner, what I appreciated.

IsraelThe included Breakfast could be improved.
The place exceeded our expectations! In the middle of the jungle, surrounded by nature, great pool to chill out in the heat, wonderful host, we were concerned by the distance from the city at the beginning but you can eat lunch and dinner in the place, and do not need to go to the city. For extra money of course but very good food.

EstoniaEverything was good
A real gem in the middle of the rainforest. Stunning nature all around, friendly and welcoming owner, comfortable cottages. We visited Peru when there were riots and roadblocks everywhere, but we felt very safe and protected in La Habana Amazon Reserve. The two dogs on the premises deserve extra praise: they are perfectly behaved and one of them always accompanied us when we went to the rainforest or the river - very safe. We definitely recommend having dinner there as well - the best food we ate during our three-week trip to Peru (Lomo saltado, Milanese chicken, etc.).

United StatesThere were signs everywhere telling you what you are NOT allowed to do with subsequent penalties for infringement; it'd be much friendlier to just inform guests of expected behavior. That was a put off.
The location was wonderful. Beautiful, well-kept environment; just hanging out there was enjoyable. It is a 30~40 min drive to the city though which is something to consider where there is not lunch or dinner available.

SlovakiaNothing, everything was perfect.
Very nice, calm, comfortable, and lovely place to stay. I liked La Habana Amazon Reserve. This complex is far away from the noisy streets of PM, situated in the middle of pure nature. The rooms were quite big, cozy, and comfortable with everything that you need. No MOSQUITOS NET needed! The host was very friendly, and useful and he organized a tour for us. You could pay for everything with a card.

Peru- Language barrier. For the premium price asked for the stay, I expected at least one of the staff members on site to speak some basic english. That wasn't the case, I had to use Google translate the entire time (4 days). It was a bit surprising to me because the hotel has been around for many years (according to google reviews), and because it seems to attract many non-spanish speakers. I don't expect people in the Peruvian jungle to speak english of course, but when you receive so many foreigners why is there no communication effort displayed, especially for the price asked? - The hotel staff is very young. They're friendly but they lack experience in hospitality, especially when it comes to proactivity: nobody asked me if I needed a pickup from the airport, I had to. Upon arriving, I got no suggestions whatsoever of tours, activities, taxis (the hotel is in the middle of nowhere), I was left completely by myself. Just a short printed guide in english would have fixed that if language was the issue - In the hotel description, they advertised that the hotel was great for cycling and fishing, although when I asked about bicycle rental, they said that they didn't offer any and that there was no rental nearby.... (????) it felt like false advertising
- Remote location in the jungle, close to the Tambopata river. Good place if you want to disconnect. The birds and monkeys singing during the night is probably the best lullaby ever - Good food, although it took a very long time to prepare (an hour to get a chaufa amazonica, when I was the first client of the evening...) - One of the dogs is the sweetest boi. He escorted me when I went for a walk around the property

BelgiumThe service of the staff. Their attitude towards everything screams that they don't like doing this kind of work. Whenever you approach to ask something, you get the vibe that they're afraid of getting questions and they won't know what to do. As soon as they can, they dissapear to watch their phone in the kitchen area where you have to go over yourself to ask them for anything you'd normally would be asked as a guest. None of them have any notion of english. Good thing my partner speaks some spanish, otherwise our means of communication would have been a total disaster. There never were more than 4 guests in the entire hotel (including us). So they had VERY LITTLE WORK. EVEN THEN: Not once did any of them ask how the food was, if we needed something else,... the last evening i had to call one of the sons (he was in charge of the restaurant that evening) to come and get our plates after we finished our meal when we were finished for more than 45 minutes. For some reason suddenly there were only 3 out of the 10 options on the menu available that night. I ordered the steak, which was disgustingly salty, alltough expensive (40 soles). If i hadn't asked, we'd still be sitting with our dirty plates on the table for the rest of the evening while he was watching his phone behind the bar without ONCE glancing up to see if we needed anything. They make you come over to them for everything, even the simple stuff as ordering a drink when they bring your food, they just never ask. It's like the thought has never even come up in their head that a guest would like to drink something. They just put the food on the table and walk away. It's like that with everything you can imagine. You are a nuissance, that's the feeling they leave you with. They act suprised with the simplest of questions. A robot would have done a better job. Also, there is no reception for questions.
The location and the houses were beautiful.

PeruI think they could clean the cabins better inside, there are a lot of spiderwebs and they could also use better sheets for the beds.
What I liked was that the hotel wasnt very close to the city so you could really experience being in the jungle. I also liked that each guest has their own cabin. Breakfast was delicious.
