How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

If you want to stay close to the airport - it’s ok, but the neighborhood isn’t really good.

The area is definitely not a tourist location. It is fairly close to the airport though so is handy for flying in/out of Lima. Having said that there is a big shopping centre, Plaza Norte about a 30 minute walk from there. You can also go through that to get to Avenida Tomas Valle which is where you can catch the Metropolitan bus to Lima centre. Weekdays are busier. Sunday was the quietest day so you could actually get a seat.
I enjoyed my stay there. The hostel is pretty good. You get a basic breakfast which is quite nice. I loved the rooftop terrace and there are a couple of shops and a few food options nearby. The staff were lovely, especially Santiago. He was helpful, very kind and gave me plenty of tips about the area.

Breakfast was a bit poor. It was hot in the room.
Location. Very close to the airport and northern bus station. Several restaurants and market nearby.

There was only one power socket in the room, and very far away from the bed.
Staff was wonderful. There were plenty of places to eat in the vicinity. There was a PC computer that, believe it or not, saved my job. It was reasonably clean. It offered a simple breakfast.

Was adequate for the 1 night stay.
We stayed here for 1 night. Room was comfortable and equipped with a fan. It was quiet and we slept well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Located just 10-15 mins from airport but in an otherwise unremarkable location.

There was a misunderstanding bout the taxi service, but maybe it was my fault. Stuff tried to help for sure
Stuff were really helpful and nice. Room was ok, breakfast basic but nice, terrace cool to hang out. Could easily stay again

Location. I was there for only one night in between flights. Uber costs 25 soles (US 7) each way. When you add that to the price you can choose a better place somewhere really close to the airport.
Bed was comfortable, room decent size, fan working, nice staff, breakfast had fruit and milk (not that common in Peru).

Not anywhere near the sightseeing area but easy enough to get an Uber
Very close to the airport so as we arrived late at night it was good that we didn't have to travel too far. Staff were lovely, great help that one spoke English.

my room was 4th floor with NO elevator. breakfast is basically nothing (hot water, infusion coffee, a bread and butter - not even cold water). my room's window did not lock!
the location was ok, 15min to the airport. hot water was ok, but pression was debile.

There was no complete door between bathroom and bedroom. The area is not that nice.
Great value for money. Comfy bed, great hot shower, room was clean and big. The breakfast was fine too, with bread, marmalade, cheese, coffee, tea. Definately better than expected

Very helpful staff who arranged taxis from and back to the airport. Basic dated but clean accommodation, breakfast simple but adequate. You can’t really expect much more for the money you pay.

We stayed just for a stopover from a late flight into Lima before going into the city centre the next day. Was good for a stopover, close to the airport, staff nice, breakfast was simple but fine. Overall would stay again before a flight.

It was really close to the airport! The breakfast was good, simple but with some fruits. The terrace upstairs is nice, the dorm room had a private bathroom! And the bed was comfortable.

Quite a run down area of Lima. Asked hotel for taxi from the airport which was agreed, they then texted to confirm on the day a few hours before but we were on our flight so didn’t receive it and our transfer was then cancelled. Because of its proximity to the airport, it could be expected that people will be unable to respond mere hours before.
Nice roof terrace, fridge to buy beer and water, fan provided.

In the photos when booking I thought there was a pool and rooftop area but was not shown these. Also the area seemed a bit shady
