We chose this location because it had air conditioning. However, not sure the portable unit made much of a difference and the location was far from the main town area (shops and restaurants) though was still within walking distance.

The staff wasn’t really helpful about the activities to do in Paracas (no map of the Reserve, no information about where we can rent a scooter or bike, etc.). They gave us wrong information about the buses to go to Ica/Lima from Paracas, hopefully we verified the info by ourself and find the right ones. They didn’t want us to stay at the swimming pool while waiting for our bus and had no explanation why. Early check-in (12pm) was not possible (in Peru, in most of the places you can have one easily)

Rooms are arranged around a cozy courtyard with a small pool and comfortable chairs and couches. A complete kitchen is available for use by guests. And everything is spotlessly clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.

I loved LA Ruta! It was perfect for me. It was quiet, comfortable, and clean. Paracas is a small town. I appreciated being away from the party hostels. The kitchen facilities were perfect and clean. The pool was an added bonus to cool off on hot days. The bed was comfortable. The shower was not always hot, but it is the middle of the desert, so a luke warm shower was nice. The staff asked me every day if my room needed cleaning. They also found out I was working and offered me an extra table and chair for my room!

No air conditioning, just a fan - staying in your room during the day when it was hot was a bit uncomfortable and fan is loud. I didn’t see any other guests while I was there so it didn’t seem like a place to socialize. Breakfast was not included.

The staff was really friendly. They didn’t speak much English but I know some Spanish so I was able to get by. The room and bathroom were very clean. The area was safe and only a few blocks away from the main road.

The family working the hostal are so lovely and really helpful. kitchen facilities were good. Nice area to sit by the pool and relax. It is a good spot for families although we enjoyed it as a couple (probably a bit quiet and not social for the solo traveller).

The staff is a lovely family who runs the hostel. They are super friendly and go out of their way to help. They have a shared kitchen and it didn’t have a pot. I asked if they had one and they went out and bought a new one for me to use. So sweet!

If possible, however, I suggest you try to get a room in the corridor in the back. Our room was at the common area/kitchen directly where it gets noisy and busy in the morning (other guests preparing their breakfast and talking to each other). Hence, sleeping in was somewhat of a challenge.

Basic but neat and well-run accommodation. The hosts are super friendly and most helpful with any questions. Rooms are also basic but clean, bathrooms are (relatively) spacious and clean. Reliable hot showers which is nice. The common areas and kitchen are modern and well-equipped. Located at the edge of Paracas it’s only a short walk to either the waterfront and, thus, the centre with all its bars and restaurants and the bus station (Cruz del Sur). Would stay again and absolutely recommend the place.

Need to solve the draining of the air conditioner. Otherwise this portable unit fills up it's internal tank and turns off in the middle of the night. Ask them to drain it in the evening or ask for a bucket to have it draining into it.

Unfortunately the bed was a bit small for two persons and especially the blanket we had to share. The location near the road is ok during the night but from 5am on the traffic gets heavier which ypu can hear quite loud then. There was no table or chair in the room, but of course you can just have a seat in the reception area. Take care and walk neat the street when you do not walk in the direction of the sea because the dogs in the neighborhood might bite you. But all in all with regard to the price that are of course minor issues.

The host were very friendly and answered every question immediately - they booked a tour to the Islas Ballestas and a buggy tour to the national reserve- both really amazing and fun! The rooms were simple but nice and clean. The bathroom was quite big with a big shower and warm water. The outdoor reception room was very nice and there is a well equipped kitchen everybody can use and free water dispenser. There is a nice little swimming pool and the WiFi was really good. The center of Paracas can be reached within a 7min walk.

the hostel is owned and managed by a family who are very nice. the hostel is affordable and facilities are good. the kitchen is clean and the pool is nice. they will help you with trips to the surrounding attractions and transportation to your next destination. the location is 5 min away from the center and the beach. it is by the road but you will not be bothered by traffic. on the other side of the road is a sand dune where it is beautiful to see the sunset from.

Had a lovely stay in this little hotel, very close to the centre or the beach (3min walk). It was super quiet, so perfect if you like a privacy. We loved the pool and an open kitchen you could use.
