Great host, comfortable rooms, and beautiful patio. We got here 'by accident' because of our altitude sickness in Cusco and loved this place right from the start! It's a lot more hospitable, clean and relaxed. The staff gave us great advice and was ready to help wherever they could (laundry, money exchange, touristic places, etc). Thank you very much!

Owners (receptionist and his family) are truly one of the best people I met in my life. The stay was as it can be up there, but welcoming and care was absolutely amazing.

    We didn't stay longer!

We were a group of 14 people, we all had beautiful, clean rooms. The garden was beatiful full of flowers and fruit trees. It was magical. Jhon Luis was very patient with us, and served us breakfast very early before we had to take our train to Aguas Calientes in the morning. The location was perfect, about a 10 minute walk to the train station and around the corner from the main plaza.

That we had to leave again, I could have easily stayed more nights here. Ollantaytambo is great and Les Orquideas is great!

We stayed 2 nights in Ollantaytambo and in the mean time we went from here to Machu Picchu. I would defitnetly recommend to stay in Ollantaytambo easily 2 nights and specifically in this location. This is the town where you take the train to aguas calientes, this hotel is literally 5 minutes walking from the train station which is why we chose this. The staff is super friendly, they have a beautiful garden and a really nice breakfast. It was the first breakfast where we received watermelon and papaya for breakfast which was great (amongst other things). This was definetly our favorite breakfast of the whole trip. Oh yeah and the first time real fresh bread. Bonus point is they are right next to Chullpi which was our favorite hotspot for coffee, local beers and lunch!

There was nothing that we did not like.

We booked this hotel for its location as it is up the road from the train station (10 mins walk) that takes you to Aguas Calientes (Macchu Picchu) but still its in a quite area, 3 mins away from the beautiful ruins and round the corner from the square with all the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was really good, they even prepared a packed breakfast for us on the day we had to go to Macchu Picchu. The hotel also offers laundry service. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Employees were helpful and nice.

Really central in ollantaytambo, close to the train station and the city center. The place is really beautiful and the breakfast was great. The hostel staff was super friendly even letting us use the commodity after our check out. We could let our bags when we went to Machu picchu.

We asked for a quiet room and he put us in a room at the top, which wasn't his best but was quiet. You'd be better in a room overlooking the courtyard garden.

The staff were delightful and the man took us to the railway stationin his car

The water installation can be improved. At one time the water stopped flowing when all my body was covered with soap. At another time, the water flow was reduced significantly for the whole night.

It is a beautiful village-style hotel, good value for money. The bed is huge for both of us. The owner and all the staffs were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was more varied when there were many guests in the hotel.

The location, breakfast, and staff are the best assets of Las Orquideas! Super close to the main square, with fresh bread every morning, and with Romulo that was super kind to drive us around to see Moray and the salines. The whole family is great and so helpful - couldn't recommend more.

The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the garden, it wasn't well-maintained (trash in the grass etc) and the seating options weren't very inviting. It would be lovely if they put in some comfortable chairs, clean the tables and so on. Another thing worth mentioning is that the furnishings in the room are very basic, for example a stool instead of a chair for the table. But well, if you need to work on your laptop you might be able to go to the breakfast area, I didn't ask.

It's a nice place with friendly staff and a very convenient location. Also, they let you use the kitchen to prepare a late night tea, which beats drinking cold water when it's cold outside!

I wish there were more outlets, there's only one in the room and wasnt enough for my work equipment and charging items.

This place is own and run by a local family. its clean and beautiful. from your room you're staring at the majestic mountains and ruins, while listening to the soothing sound of the river. The staff is very friendly. the bed was comfortable. I was working during the day the wifi wasnt working but the owner fixed it right away and was enough to get me through my work day.

Shower curtain too short or hanged too high, it doesn't prevent water from seeping out of the shower stall. After taking showers, even though they had an open screen to the outside, it was still very moist inside the bathroom. The plaster from the ceiling peeled off and dropped down into the sink.

Owner speaks English and had a taxi service arranged to pick us up from and drop off in Cusco. Family operated hotel. Friendly service from hosts. Clean rooms. Bed and blankets were comfy, thick enough for the cold nights. Free wi-fi. Great location.

I was disappointed with the place. The garden that appears in the pictures is not well treated. The breakfast is terrible, they do not do even coffee - the coffee they offer is powdered to dissolve in water. The breakfast was really poor in options, neither eggs they had nor even bread we could have a small quantity. Would be better not to offer breakfast and just charge less. I consider the breakfast hours late considering a tourist place, in Cusco hotels Breakfast starts at 5h30 am, here only 7 am. They do not offer shampoo, but they sell it.

The location is on the same street where you get the train to Machu Picchu. However, the city is so small, that you can easily access the train station no matter the place you stay. The bed was comfortable.
